So having seen the video I posted do you think it is acceptable for a young man to knock over
two pensioners (in self defence or not), causing multiple bruising, irrespective of whether
the video does not show the whole picture (as Phil M,s video claims to show?)
You don’t really deserve a reply because you’ve still not answered my question. However, I’ll do you the courtesy of answering yours, as I am able to provide an answer to your question which doesn’t completely destroy my point.
No, I do not think it is ok for a young man to knock over two pensioners. However, it’s far more nuanced than that isn’t it? For example; if the video from above were to show the guy in white moving toward the exit (as he clearly was) having witnessed a member of the Slough support throw the first punch, and then he was suddenly surrounded by a large group of Slough supporters who are all shouting and appearing aggressive, then in that scenario I think it is entirely plausible that he may have lashed out in self defence as he may have felt that he was about to get hit.
Let’s not forget as well right at the start of the video the first thing you clearly hear is a Slough supporter shouting ‘come on then’ whilst multiple Slough supporters are moving aggressively toward the white shirted Farnborough supporter, which does suggest at this point at least, he is not the aggressor.
I will also point out the guy in the brown jacket who is knocked down first is wearing a baseball cap and in the split second it happened, I very much doubt the white shirted Boro fan knew who he was lashing out at, or was able to ascertain the age of the person in front of him.
I’m not going to entertain anymore discussion now, if you can’t/wont answer my original question and you are unable to discuss things objectively, without resorting to being abusive.
I feel I’ve given you valid insight in to my opinion whereas all I’ve had in return up to this point is a very simplistic viewpoint of - Boro man bad, Slough Supporters good.
As has been said countless times, all clubs have a tiny percentage of trouble makers, if you can’t or won’t acknowledge that, and you also can’t understand that things are not as black and white as you seemingly wish to make them, then there’s no point in further conversation.
