John Oyenuga has signed for Dover and played yesterday. Seems as though holding out for a better offer/dodging pre season backfired with Dover being big favourites for the drop.
Connor Lawless has done really well to get a deal at Dagenham & Redbridge, quite surprising but fair play to him.
Adam Lovett trialled with Aldershot but seemingly didn’t make the grade and has signed with Hastings!
Ronan Silva was trialling at Boreham Wood but I can’t find any information as to whether he got a deal.
That just leaves Selim. Since the rumour he would be returning all has now gone quiet. Anyone know what the situation is?

Like yourself Mike last thing I heard about Silvia was that he was going on trial at York City that was a few weeks ago.
Interestingly i can't find anything about Jonathan Page being signed up either.

At Chelmsford yesterday, we all said that Reggie and Selim together on either side of the wing would compliment each other and give sides a right scare.
But given that Selim has left fans and officials at the club, he really has a lot of convincing to do if he wants to come back. And if that convincing works, he has a lot of explaining and forgiving to do to the fans.
I like Selim, and I would love to see him back. He gave sides like Sutton and Wrexham a real challenge. But, at the moment, if Barnsley didn't work for him, here is the only option as far as I'm aware as he is still under contract!

I would just like to know if - A. Selims unprofessionalism has been forgiven and he will be returning to the squad. B. The club have decided to cut ties and are looking to get a fee for him which can then be used to strengthen the squad. Logically these seem the only two available options to move forward from here.

There were several issues I witnessed yesterday, mainly of the bedding-in kind.
Our attempts at making simple passes in midfield were pretty poor, as was the (lack of) closing down - the former was due to lack of movement (at times it seemed we were playing in quicksand) while the latter allowed Samir Curruthers to have the freedom of the pitch - which is where Chelmsford's goal came from.
We looked unbalanced. Presumably Mekki, who made little impact as there was no-one else anywhere near him, can only play on the right, while Jordan and Reggie fell across each other on the left. A big hmmm. That two central midfielders were subbed came as no surprise. All three were well below par and it was just a question of which two were hooked.

There is a third alternative Mike. That Selim's contract was probably only about a year, which means he only has to sit it out for a short while before going where he wants. Which he could have done anyway and kept himself fit playing with us. He has treated the club and supporters quite poorly I feel

He has treated the club and supporters quite poorly I feel SD has said that he is contracted for this season and we are due a substantial fee. I agree it is really poor form from Selim and his ‘agent’. There’s just no reason to have been so disrespectful to the club that gave him a platform and the supporters.

I would love to know if the club have been paying him, I would hope not as he’s breached his contract.
I also wonder where he is now he’s clearly not made the grade at Barnsley and other than a rumour on here there’s been nothing concrete mentioned by the club.
Also now clubs have had to submit their squads and the season has started in all but the PL I don’t see how he could turn out for another club all the while he’s contracted here as he’s not duel registered so I’m guessing his only option is to come back and grovel to his team mates the club and then us the fans. I for one will struggle to welcome him back with open arms and he’s going to have to win back the support of a few of us I’d imagine.

Selim signed a contract mid season which expired at the end of the season. As an under 24, the club reserved the right to retain his registration, as Spencer mentioned in the post Wealdstone interview. He's free to sign for any club, but if he signs for a club operating under the English FA, Boro would be entitled to considerable compensation.

So he doesn’t have a contract…… we can just retain his registration because he’s under 24, that changes things and if that’s the case my apologies I thought he was contracted. If not then technically Selim hasn’t done anything wrong he’s free to do what he wants and we just get a fee if he moves within England but if he goes abroad then we’re entitled to nothing.

Thanks Phil - that clarifies matters and also suggests the lad has shot himself in the foot since it's a lot less attractive for another club to sign Selim with the "considerable" cost you mention, compared to other triallists who don't come with significant financial baggage. Hopefully he's learned a valuable lesson about trusting the approach of his 'agent' / dad.... It feels like there are no winners here but, on the field, and especially after Saturday, it sounds like we could use his guile on the right wing. We shall see.

So the possibilities from here are -
1. He moves abroad as a free agent.
2. Moves to an English club if they are willing to pay the considerable compensation.
3. Apologises for disrespecting the club/supporters and hope SD is in a forgiving mood.
4. Misses a whole season because of the awful advice he received.
It will be interesting to see how this concludes.

Additionally, his Dad is not his agent.
The club would never stand in the way of a player that wants to better himself but some communication would have been appreciated.

His Dad being his agent and that he would be returning both came from Twitter 🙄 That’s what I find so irritating, it was all so unnecessary. If he and his agent had just had the common courtesy and respect to communicate with the club, all parties would have been better off.
