Braintree may well have transferred themselves to National League North tonight. If the powers at be go with a simple north/south split, they're marginally north of Bishop's Stortford and a fair way north of Oxford City.
Their only hope is those in charge try to persuade Oxford City to "play nice", due to City having better road connections to points north and a small cluster of North division clubs that are relatively close by.
But Oxford have been through this before, they know perfectly well where their players live and how many would reject being sat on coaches to Manchester, Lincolnshire and beyond, no matter whether fat pay increases are proffered or otherwise. Interesting times lie ahead.
