19 Quid? Was a tenner for the day pass. Yep hence why they’ll be hearing from me! Could watch Chorley and all other games so it’s a proper scam! If we hadn’t have chosen Boro as our supported club we’d have been able to watch for £9.50!!!

Refund request submitted for the useless North/South Subscription @£9.50. Wil let you know how that goes..
How I laughed when coverage stopped at 88 minutes ,as if not enough airtime had been bought to allow for the delay due to the nasty Johnny O injury, only to resume in the 93rd when we'd missed the winning goal.....

How I laughed when coverage stopped at 88 minutes ,as if not enough airtime had been bought to allow for the delay due to the nasty Johnny O injury, only to resume in the 93rd when we'd missed the winning goal..... I had to pay £19 as I initially and very logically in my mind purchased the National North/South day pass. Only to discover that got me access to every match except the Boro one! So I then had to purchase the National League day pass in order to be able to watch us! I’m convinced, as I could see every other match including the Chester v Chorley match (North league), this was a deliberate scam to make you have to purchase both, as at the point of registering I had selected the option to indicate Boro was my team, so it was entirely strange that our match would be the only one unavailable for me to watch! Given it was an absolute farce which caused me to miss the first five minutes of the match, as well as the stream going dead in the 88th minute, resulting in missing the climax and the decisive goal, as well as it being a total rip off, I’ve also requested a full refund. Will update if/when I get a response.

Firstly, because of the way these things work, I doubt you'll get a refund because of the lousy excuse likely being "well the stream went ahead so it's not our fault" even though it is.
Anyway, the email I can find is below:

I wish I’d just gone to the match, I only didn’t as I wasn’t feeling very well this morning. Because I thought I was going to be able to watch it from the comfort of home I decided to stay on the sofa. Lesson learned…unless you’re dying make the trip.

It was more than five minutes Mike. Plus transmission was scheduled to start from 2.30 p.m., but didn't start until around 3-15, missing our opening goal, so around forty five minutes of lost transmissions!! We then had the situation of John's injury, which stopped the game for a good ten minutes. They then cut off transmission ten minutes before the end of the game, missing Chelmsford's winner, which obviously would have upset any Chelmsford distant supporters!!
So in all, probably around an hour of lost game transmission, and worth a refund for some I would say.
Totally amateurish operation, and one I personally will not be attempting to tune in to in the future, even if it involves a play off match for us.!!
Hope they read our reviews!!

Bob - just to correct you slightly, the match coverage started a little before kick off, but I guess you didn't see it until you'd bought your second subscription, to National League games (the league we don't play in...), cos the North/South subscription wouldn't let you watch our National South game...!

It was 5 minutes missed for me at the start, once someone on here had said you needed to purchase the National League day pass I did so, it then worked immediately. But of course like everyone I also missed the last 10 minutes as they clearly hadn’t accounted for any delays happening in the match and the stream went down. My point of most annoyance is why would the North/South day pass not be what you need to watch Farnborough? And why could I view all other games including the North league fixture Chester v Chorley? It’s as though because I registered as a Boro fan they deliberately locked me out iof viewing our match until I spent another £9.50 on the National League day pass! I’ve been back and checked their published instructions and it clearly said to purchase the North/South day pass for the Boro match, which obviously makes perfect sense! You’re right though, totally amateurish operation. If they are unwilling to offer a refund I’ll never even consider attempting to watch a match through their channel again.

Just a point to remember for the future, these streamed matches at our level utilise the home club's video, which all clubs have to provide, not necessarily a professional filming service, so unless you're confident that their videographer is as top class as our Dom Lloyd, then you're gonna be disappointed.

Give him some privacy!

Phil Martin : Just a point to remember for the future, these streamed matches at our level utilise the home club's video, which all clubs have to provide, not necessarily a professional filming service, so unless you're confident that their videographer is as top class as our Dom Lloyd, then you're gonna be disappointed.
Sorry Phil, I have to disagree to a certain extent. The 'experiment' was promoted by the National League, and there was no mention of using the home club's video facilities in the lead up to the game.
The League also made a charge of £9-50 to show the game and, as such, are surely obliged to ensure that the facility to show the game is acceptable, and works, in all respects.
The promotion also quoted transmissions from 2-30 p.m., which did not happen until around 3-15 p.m.!, missing the first Farnborough goal, and again closed of around ten minutes before the end of the match, due to a serious player injury, and also missing the Chelmsford winning goal!! I'm sure Chelmsford viewers from afar are also hugely disappointed!!
Strange also that every other game in National and NLN leagues worked perfectly!! We even started to watch A*****shot rather than lose the £9-50, with comms muted and listening to the Boro radio boys. Even that died toward the end of the game too!!, what a day!!
Then I had a call to say our was streaming at last, and switched back, and appeared to be ok,
If the Chelmsford transmission standards are not good enough to comply with the Leagues standards then they, the NL, could be considered in a failure of duty situation and, as such, purchasers should be entitled to a partial refund as they missed out on approximately one hour of transmissions that they paid for!!
I point out that I have no reason to blame Chelmsford F.C. for the situation as they, like many of us, rely on volunteers to operate so much at our games.
If the NL wish to continue with promoting games if future, then I suggest much closer attention be paid to the detail of what they are offering.
