It seems the appeal was unsuccessful then...

Which could well be subject to an appeal to a higher body.
Spencer is on record saying he'll bin off their Cup by not playing even a half competitive side in future.
We'll see.*
*Personally, I couldn't give a stuff about their Cup. I'd bin it (but in a way that doesn't incur any financial sanction) and forget about it.

Hampshire FA lose their opportunity to look like a modern, listening and transforming organisation and instead revert to being an institute of Blazers... Bin their tin-pot cup.

Well the Hampshire FA can go and and shove it.
This is meant to be a SENIOR cup competition! Might as well make it another youth competition as the teams who are through to the Semi Finals are Aldershot, Bournemouth and Eastleigh who all put out youth teams. We stick with playing it the right way with Senior players and get thrown out because of confusing rules, whilst Porchester can do what they like! I’m sure we got told off a few years back because we put a youth team out!
With Porch and Basingstoke both going for promotion I bet they will also field youth teams in their QF game!

We didn't just get told off, we got thrown out for not fielding a senior side!! As did Aldershot , the same season!!
It seems rules can be read whichever way the blazers want to, when it suits them, and I'm convinced there is an element of 'revenge' over our protestations with the final at Eastleigh last season, couple with the temerity of actually winning it!!
Ho hum, youth team next season it is then, and let them get on with it!!
Far more important things to worry about!!

Club Statement:
from Hampshire F.A.
The Appeal Board dismissed the Appeal on all three grounds, in that the Hampshire FA Cup Sub-Committee did not misinterpret or fail to comply with the rules or regulations relevant to its decision, the decision they came to was appropriate in accordance with the rules available to them and they came to a decision based on those rules and they did not act excessively with regard to the decision reached.
The decision made by the Hampshire FA County Cup Committee Sub-Committee be confirmed as the decision and Farnborough FC will be removed from the Competition and AFC Portchester will be reinstated and proceed to the quarter- final of the Competition.
The Club will not be making any further comment.
Nuff said!!

Didn't Spencer say in his interview that the Hampshire FA admitted that they got it wrong? Or did I make that up?

Nope he did say that and that’s why they removed the fine.
I revert to my previous statement a few weeks back if we don’t have a youth squad or if the club will get fined if they just pull out then let’s get some senior fans signed up, play for nothing and field them. That way we have fielded a team of seniors if they get hammered it doesn’t matter.

Then we get into 'what counts as a senior fan'? Age? Years of games attended?
The other question is why am I even debating this?

I foresee a problem with that! If you register, say 15 extra 'Senior' players, willing to play for free, then that increases the Club's overall squad by +15 and, if we experienced a situation whereby we don't have enough 1st eleven players to fill a NL match, then the League could quite rightly demand we have enough registered player to fulfil that League fixture!!
I suppose 'extra' players could be signed on, willing to play for free, from the start of the season, to augment maybe 3 or 4 regular squad players for a HSC game, and then rejected afterwards as 'not good enough!! Ethical? maybe not!! Means to an end? possibly!!
Some Porchester F.C. supporters said that they had never heard of some of those that played against us!! So maybe it can be done.
The other alternative is to contact the nearest U.18 Club ( Farnborough Youth F.C.?) and ask them to joint register as a team to play in the HSC. I'm sure they would enjoy the experience!

I'm more than happy to turn out for a Cun*y Cup game so long as Mick still brings along some onions and mustard to put on my burger whilst I lean against the posts...

I don't see an issue, as player registrations can be cancelled just as quickly as they are created. The chances of us being forced to name Tom, Dick and Harry for a National South game are vanishingly small. Meanwhile, if that aligns with whatever (dodgily written) rules the Hants FA are enforcing on the day, then so what?
