Weymouth offered very little in what was a scrappy match, big 3 points though and a great way to bounce back from Saturday! A brilliant top corner volley by Freddie for the second being the highlight of the night!
Is anyone else curious about Spencer’s non-attendance? 3 matches in a row he has now been absent…I can’t help but wonder what’s going on!

Well done boys another 3 points but a very scrappy affair.
God knows what happened as we looked like 2 different teams. 1st half we were all over them but 2nd half we seemed to go deep and when they went down to 10 men for the last 30 minutes we didn’t seem to make it count. There were a few times we attacked but everyone except 1 player was all the way back at the halfway line.
Also wondering about Spencer’s absence if he is ill or if it has anything to do with the refinancing or buyout and if he’s decided to take a backseat.

Perhaps holiday or illness (if so get well soon)

Borobob told me that Spencer is away in the USA for his son's 21st birthday. Dom streaming the match to him tonight (!), expected back on Saturday.
Thought we looked dominant but ugly -big hoof football with little in the way of midfield possession, creativity or class, really. Until Ricky came on with 20 to go and all of a sudden created periods of a close passing game leading to several good chances. Kandi's late miss was quite poor, really...
Jury's out on Lawless.
Have to say that Weymouth battled for the duration, even when down to 10 men. We were just 'better'. There goal was an absolute belter worthy of applause, no matter who you support. Hope the lad who did his hammy recovers soon.
Big test next Tuesday.

Yep, Spencer is on a break and is missing four games. Family stuff. Fair enough, this isn't the EPL.
Weymouth seem to have a clutch of some pretty decent players without much to back them up, so it's understandable their manager tried to drag us into a scrap - very similar to Eastbourne's tactics last Saturday. So I'm slightly disappointed we continued to fall into that trap more often than I would like.
That said, we had more moments of quality than they did, so 3-1 it was (although it ought to have been 3-0, but we collectively fell fast asleep, allowing their lad to pick his spot, which he did rather well).

One more win and we pass 50 points. I'm sure a lot of us would have taken that with 17 games left.

For overseas viewers some of the more excitable elements were chanting "Say we are going up!" tonight. Hmm, if we want to aspire to such levels then we need to do the job against one of the best organised sides in the division, Braintree, on Saturday. We'll see soon enough.

On the subject of the excitable's, its great to hear your support, but maybe tone down the insults and foul language as they spoil your effect...
This is family friendly footy, not Hammers Vs The Dons and there are plenty of classy chants to use without calling the opposition fans/players/towns foul names...
