Somebody said on this forum nearly two years ago when the proposal for the Super League was launched, that the subject rears its head every now and again, before a load of protests shuts it down and they go quiet for a bit whilst still trying to push it through for more money. And that seems to be what's happening here (see below link, hoping it works). www.bbc.com/sport/football/64578730Part of me just wants to say, let them go to the super league. Join it, bugger off, and let everyone else play on a level playing field. But on the other hand, it ruins the structure of football that's been in place for the last 160 years. Please, please, common sense prevail.

I have always been of the agreement to let them go and play their silly league, playing each other four or six times a season with no relegation or promotion, and see where it gets them.
Players will soon get bored, even if they are on squillions a week.
Basically footballers want to play football at a competitive level, to the best of their ability, and to win trophies if possible.
When it comes to the situation of your turn to win this season, we won it last time, they will soon get fed up.
Also, I can't see any UK Club's supporters travelling to Europe every other week. Financially it's not viable and it just won't happen!!
Take a look back at what the Chelsea fans did a while back.
Can't see the F.A. or PL letting it happen either and, as weak as FIFA are, they surely can't condone it!
Sanctions will also probably block any British players from joining.
The whole thing is absolute nonsense.
If some Clubs did manage to join the breakaway league though, it might bring a bit of sanity back to English football.
Let's hope some sense prevails.
I'm not a PL fan, by any means, and I think the money sloshing around inside it is just obscene, but this idea is just ridiculous!!
