Well, I haven't seen this highlights reel before.
Great fun.
I never realised Jalo and Doudou ever played in the same game, even though I very probably was doing the tannoy at the time. Oops.
But look at the state of the pitch and the lack of infrastructure back then. My goodness, we've massively moved forward in terms of our facilities (I get it that not all of the improvements were paid for).
I'd like to think there's still opportunity to finally crack it, to move upwards as a team and to not be stymied by playing in a mediocre ground (that bit's been sorted) or without the necessary to fund better levels of football.
Who knows?

Nice memories Nigel. Especially the result, and opposition!!
Agree it shows how far we have come and, in fairness, like him or not, most of the impressive infrastructure is thanks to Mr. Hollis, and whether it was paid for or not is what probably brought about his personal financial demise!!
Happily the Club has been able to build on that legacy and, we now have one of the best and admired stadiums in non league football.
Also, thanks to some sensible work behind the scenes, we are not that far from moving to that higher level, IF the finances can be found to properly support it!!
That has always been the catch 22!!

Also younger fans won't remember how poor the car park was back in those days! As said Farnborough's pitch and ground facilities are now one of the best in the league.
