By pure coincidence Aldershot are due to visit Wrexham the week before, and the link on their forum suggest some problems with buying tickets on line, as Wrexham almost sell out every week!!
Buying tickets on line seems to involve joining a Membership scheme or something, so I guess they can vet who applies, and the away section is tucked away in some corner, ala Hereford for those that can remember that far back!!!
It would therefore seem logical that tickets would be available for purchase from the visiting club offices only, which would bar distant supporters who can't get to the Club to purchase, but we wait and see, and I'm sure we can cope with that!
It would be nice, but I can't see us taking more than the super 500 we took to Sutton anyway.
Whatever, I anticipate a pretty decent pay out to the Club if the 50% of gate receipts applies!!
If they average 6/7000 for games, 3000+ to us, after expenses, still brings in a fair old bit of cash!

Surely there is an allocated section for away supporters at every game, or am I missing something? And regarding the 'distant supporters' I don't have the slightest idea who that could be referring to!!! Me and my three games a year cycle get along just fine.

Hi Wrexham fan here!
Looking forward to the game which potentially could be a banana skin for us, anyway you will be very welcome in North Wales.
With regards to tickets you have to set up a account on Wrexhams Website (very easy) to buy tickets then you can print them off at home. Not to sure if you can pick them up from staduim (home fans do have that option)
Both clubs have to agree a price to charge fans as you get 40% (i think) of gate receipts.
Obviously if full amount is charged (£19-£21) its unlikely we will fill the staduim. Both Blyth and Oldham game was £12.
Oldham where given was the top tier of the Wrexham Larger stand which holds around 900 if you bring less than 300 then you will be given the lower tier.
How many fans do you think will make the trip?

Wrexham are professional, so there will be an away allocation which will be nothing to do with membership status, whatever, for Wrexham fans. Under FA Cup rules, the away allocation is 15% of capacity, but this rule is far from set in stone. See this link from 2014: www.thefa.com/news/2014/feb/26/away-ticket-allocations-arsenal-everton. To be honest, I doubt we'd ask for 15% of a (currently) 10,000 capacity stadium. In the 1st Round, Oldham received an allocation of 851 tickets, which they sold out. I'd be delighted if we took 800 to Wrexham, particularly if TV coverage were to screw around with the date and kick-off time. Another linky thing: www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2022/october/24102022-wrexham-a-tickets/To cover off the travel aspect, Avanti West Coast trains (who run the Euston - Crewe (or Chester) leg of the journey) have been in meltdown for months - they simply don't have enough drivers, although the situation is gradually improving. That's why cheap Advances are not being offered, as Avanti have little idea if their trains will run until nearer the date. However, there are options that don't involve Avanti, where split ticketing can equal a nice price, albeit with a longer end-to-end journey time. You pay your money, take your choice, etc. An aside, Wrexham is a good venue for travelling by train, as Wrexham General is pretty much next door to the ground.

Another aside, if Avanti are running direct from Euston to Chester (they managed one a day each way last week when the service is meant to be hourly), these would be diesel Voyagers, so expect not very comfortable seats, plenty of vibrations and rattles emanating from the underfloor diesel engines and only 5 carriages, 200 or so seats, making things pretty cosy.
But, there are other options ...

Sorry Tom, I wasn't getting at any particular Boro supporter from afar, we do have many that do not live within reasonable distance to purchase tickets from the ground only if that were to be the case!
I was merely relating what the Shots supporters were experiencing re tickets at Wrexham for away fans.
They seemed to be under the impression that ordering on line was purely for home fans, after registering, and that away tickets were to be sent to the visiting club to sell at their ground!!
This would make it difficult for our supporters who may not live close enough to the club to get tickets if they want to go!
Don't worry mate, if it is possible, and you want to go, I will try and purchase a ticket for you.
Depends on match details and ko times of course, especially if the TV gods get involved!!
That will also affect the number of tickets purchased by Boro fans. 5.20 k.o. on a Sunday night for instance, or even a Monday night game would be a disaster for most of us!!
I guess we are all jumping the gun a bit, so lets wait and see when the details come out.

Well I'm going for sure, all the way from deepest darkest Devonia.
Just checked the Wrexham website and couldn't see a link to away tickets for away fans.
There's a link for Wrexham fans travelling away to salubrious places like Scunthorpe...
So the sooner we can get good information the better. I got my Sutton tickets online and there was no problem. Wrexham stadium is undergoing a good deal of development, and no before time. It is important that we all make the effort. It's around four and a half hours drive from here but I might get the train. The ground isn't too far from the station.

Hi all, Aldershot Fan in peace here. Firstly congratulations on your win over Sutton and a very well deserved next round fixture against Wrexham, please, please, please beat them that would be so wonderful to see. Regarding your ticketing assuming they treat you the same as they do away clubs for League games then you should be able to purchase your tickets online but not off their main website. The way it is working for us is that Wrexham provide the visiting club with a unique url (Webpage) which is just for purchasing tickets for the away section and for that particular game, it is up to the visiting club to then provide that url to to their fans via website and social media. Once you go to that page it then allocates you the number of seats that you request or if you want you can change the seats and then you purchase the tickets which can be emailed to you as print at home or held on your phone for scanning on entry. However as a previous poster suggested you do indeed have to sign up and create an account before you can purchase tickets. If you want to get a preview of how it works then here is the info off our web page, www.theshots.co.uk/ticket-info-wrexham-vs-shots/ may I suggest though don't create your account until your own club has issued you with the unique url for Farnborough. The reason they do this is because they are usually sold out in the home sections for every game so want to stop home fans who cant get a ticket from purchasing in the away section.

So the coaches will still probably work out cheaper than the trains, if they were running!!, although a longer day (no pun).
Times and prices awaited.
