Lets give em a bit of a break eh Archbishop?
We haven't exactly had much to crow about for a few years have we?, and it's certainly a nice feeling to make the headlines for the right reasons for once, and see the Club on national TV, and boy have we earned it, after all these years!!
Yes a little bit of over the top sometimes, bravado? no, over exuberance? maybe, excitement certainly, but certainly no malice to Sutton.
Sutton, is a decent club, and very welcoming from all. Stewards were probably the best we have ever encountered, and that helped with the overall atmosphere.
Their ground is a very old ground, in a state of transmission, looking a bit scruffy, and I suppose the change back from a plastic pitch back to grass, cost them a lot of money that could have been used elsewhere, but that was their choice in the first place.
The away supporters section is probably the best part of the ground, and we would love something like that at the Moor Road end, when the time comes.
We are very lucky to have a superb stadium though, and thanks have to go to a former Owner for leaving the legacy, whatever else he may, or may not, have done, which probably left him personally in a bad financial position.
Finally though, back to Sutton, and I read that they very generously donated some surplus radio communication equipment to us as well, so many thanks to them and good luck for the future. Maybe we will meet again sometime.
All eyes to the telly tonight. Then Eastbourne at home on Tuesday.
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!
Give who a break Bob? Sutton? Yes, that's exactly what I meant - about some of ours on here having a pop at Sutton their crowds, quiet supporters etc! No need for it.
