Tomorrow is a huge chance to make history for Farnborough Football Club. This is the third time since the club’s reform in 2007 that we have reached the fourth qualifying round, and beating Biggleswade Town would be brilliant for fans, players and staff.
I don’t want to get carried away in the slightest. We know, as well as Spencer does, that Biggleswade Town are difficult opposition despite the league difference. They beat Billericay 3-0 in a replay after seeing off East Thurrock United, Dereham Town and Whitton United in previous rounds. They haven’t faced a side from our level yet, either north or south, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have the capability.
They have lost just two in their last ten games in all competitions and will no doubt fancy their chances against us in this round.
Signing Amartey is an excellent move for us and demonstrates our intentions to the rest of the league for this season. But if any of the players or staff are reading, THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR COMPLACENCY!!!! We showed our hunger and desire to win on Saturday against a tough Worthing side, and we need to show the same hunger again to get the job done and get to the first round for the time as Farnborough Football Club.
I’m sure Biggleswade are ready, and I pray that we are ready. I will be sending my support from afar, as usual.
YEEEEEELLLLLOOOOOOOOWWSSSSSSSS!!!!!
