Coverage on social media was pitiful last night. Just a tweet at the start, at half time and at full time. No mention of line ups, subs or anything! How does that encourage people to support the Boro? Yes shocking that those volunteers that do a fantastic job week in, week out either had other prior engagements or were busy carrying out other roles!!!!!! Don't be so bloody sensitive. How difficult is it to hand over twitter duties to someone else who can at least update faraway fans on who's turning out for the team. There must be loads of media students who would willingly do it. Bob hit the nail on the head: "I fully support and appreciate all that is done by the volunteer helpers of course but, as the Club progresses a more professional approach to all matters, and the funding, will have to be found sometime."

For an instance, I spoke to three people on Tuesday to remind them that it is a 1-00 kick off on Saturday. They didn't know and all of them said' I don't go on Twitter'!! 3 lots of attendance money that could have been missed! Only 3 but can we afford to turn money away? It was announced at the last home match that it's an earlier kick off. It's on the club website. It was on the team-sheet that was handed out/displayed at the Woking match. It's displayed on the sign at the entrance to the ground. You say that "not everyone is on social media" which I understand, but how else do you want us to communicate with you? If you're going to be "old World" then you need to communicate with each other like you did back in the day???

Sorry Phil, just the ramblings of an old dinosaur luddite!! Me and technology have a love/hate relationship. Can't get my head round it sometimes.
Give me an old engine or gearbox to work on and I'm happy, but electronics?? mind blowing!!
See you Saturday.

Spencer's comments on half-time are interesting. Seems that there was some sort of incident off the pitch in which a club volunteer was treated poorly by a player or players and the squad were therefore read the riot act.

Bit of group discipline for all doesn't do any harm. Remember what happened in your schooldays? One pupil does a 'naughty'. No one owns up so the whole class gets the bollocking/detention!! All for one, and one for all, its a valuable lesson.
Quite why the volume and expletives from our leader was needed on Tuesday is not known, but it must have been something fairly serious, and if it was something aimed at a Club volunteer, then that is just not on!! We welcome and thank all our great volunteers.
Lets hope it is over and done with now, and we can get on with the football!!
