I don't know if anyones mentioned it, but we're in the National South next season.
I was just wondering if the format of the current YouTube or other social media content will change? At the moment we only get goals from the games at the end of each month, rather than the highlights we used to have. I understand this is because of instruction from management (even though I can't see the point I'll go with it) but I wondered if Farnborough will this season have their hand forced contractually by Vanarama or someone to show the highlights. Or is each club's content independent, especially because our club hires FCVideo? I may be wrong. I was just interested.
It actually goes the other way. Member clubs aren't allowed to post any match videos until 00:01 on Monday after Saturday games. A similar reg applies to midweeks.
Spencer, clutching his master plan, may decide to delay publishing anything at all for a little longer than that. But, the grapevine used to work by managers talking to each other by phone, so any club being shy about publishing videos would soon be found out anyway. This ain't the Southern Prem anymore.
We have already spoken to the club, and have agreed that we will do a 'snappy' 90in90 highlights after each game.
These are similar to highlights done for Hayes & Yeading Utd last season, and are highlights in 90 seconds, so no replays, line-ups etc, just the main action.
Admin is correct, and that League Embargo states highlights/clips (in any form) not allowed until Monday (00.01). We have raised this with the league (as a groiup of media teams) and have done over last few years. Still head against bricj wall... but that may change.
