I just read something on twitter that says fans will not be allowed back into the stadium for football games.
If this is true, then it's a serious situation, and I genuinely don't think many clubs will be able to survive without the gate receipts and finances that rely on fans walking through the turnstiles every week! It doesn't seem to add up! Also, if it is true, that doesn't make sense as pubs are allowed to reopen, with people sat inside and outside (some sat 2m apart, and some not) and when using public transport, people are DEFINITELY not 2m apart, hence the use of face coverings. If those things are allowed to return, why on earth can people not go back to football clubs sat 2m apart in an open air stadium? I'm so confused.
I have no idea what's going to happen, we'll see. The season starts in just under a month, so fingers crossed!

I don't know why they can't do a 15% capacity. That would allow more people in than we had to most games last season

The season starts in just under a month, so fingers crossed! This isn't new news Tom - it continues to be the position taken by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media & Sport ("DCMS"). In the bigger picture, UKGov is currently minded to not permit spectators at sporting events (apart from some controlled trials - the World Snooker final being one of them) until 1st October at the earliest. That said, the football authorities are in continuing discussions with UKGov about this issue, which is absolutely key to the many smaller sports clubs that cannot rely on income from TV/streaming rights etc to provide sufficient funds to resume playing. This may be the tweet you are referring to, from Ollie Bayliss who is a respected sports journalist:- As a sidenote, please refer to the source of information when raising a discussion point, as "I read somewhere on the internet" isn't very helpful to other forum users. Thanks!

Trainee Journalist Nigel! First rule in their manual is 'never reveal your source of information' !
Can't blame the enthusiasm though can you?
I have to agree though, that most Non League Clubs at all levels would find it extremely difficult, or nigh impossible, to function without paying guests of some description!!
Even reading the suggestion, from their own website, that a club like Wrexham could be made to play with a 25% capacity attendance restriction must make many Directors and Owners shudder!
Farnborough, on the other hand, could quite happily accept a 25% of ground capacity restriction ( 7000 down to 1750 ), if it were brought in, and 250/300 as normal would make it work somehow, but many others couldn't!!
Home games would be fine (ish) but away travel would be a logistical nightmare!!
I feel that making the fixture list is a 'token' gesture just now, without any real though as to the practicalities of making them work!
