270 minutes without a goal. Oh well we won the Hampshire cup. A season that promised so much is going to come down to the play offs and we are not in any shape of form

If we aren't carful Ginger we may not even make the play offs!!! Weston, Chesham or Yate could STILL catch us, unless we manage to beat Poole on Saturday!!

A win V Poole, would give us 79 pts, and certainly eases it though. Yate can get 81 pts max, which means beating H & Y tomorrow, at Hayes!! Chesham can get 80 points max, away to Merthyr tomorrow. Weston can get 78 pts max away to Gosport tomorrow. Its also Police v Taunton, which will be interesting!! How did we ever get ourselves in to this ridiculous position? ? WHO'S GOT THE BOTTLE? COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!!!

I'll stick my neck out, just for sh*ts and giggles you understand....
We beat Poole at home - coz we absolutely blo*dy need too!
We beat Hendon - coz if we don't, heads must roll...
We draw with Hartley Whitney because we freeze at the last run in.
We lose to Tiverton coz they had a game plan to win the league...
6 points keeps us in the playoffs.
Everything is a gamble from now on!

The other problem is even if games go our way both Hayes and Taunton have a far superior goal difference so we have to hope they muck up 2 games. Personally I think we’ll have to go through the playoffs which I’m not looking forward to.
The team need to go back to how they played at the beginning of the season rather than the horribleness that we have been subjected to the old hoof ball and hope for a 1-0 win.

The team need to go back to how they played at the beginning of the season rather than the horribleness that we have been subjected to the old hoof ball and hope for a 1-0 win. This, a thousand times this. We had a good group in the first half of the season that worked hard for each other - that's what groups can achieve, greater than the sum of the parts etc. Results tell us how good they were. Since then, Spencer, either accidentally or deliberately, has dismantled that group because "better" players were available within his budget. Top tip: Getting "better" players in does not equal a better or more effective group. Give Old Trafford a ring for more details. So, good players who had good and and not so good days were replaced by career non-League journeymen happy to take the money on offer and to put in a "professional" performance in return (it wasn't me guv, etc). But, from what I've seen, they are far from hungry and not committed to the "cause" at all* - they're thinking about their family and paying the bills, not about winning anything. It's just another gig. Take the money and move on. Whatever. *I exclude David Pratt. He's a total pro with real drive and wants to win, not to just tread water. And, here we are. A massive change of mindset is needed. Right now. Look at the squad and pick those hungry for success and bin the rest. And let the players off the leash to play properly - the knee-jerk reversion to dismal hoof-ball in recent games hasn't exactly been a success. It's probably too late for automatic promotion, but it's worth a go to try and rebuild that group unity in good time for the play-offs. Otherwise, there's a strong chance the season will end with a whimper.

Only just read what Nigel said above due to being otherwise occupied this weekend, but totally agree with it 100%. We were a real force before the #Tinkerman tactics were deployed.
First part of my prediction has stood the test. We go again and beat Hendon on Saturday.
