Brice has left the club.
Any other ins or outs anyone’s heard about?

I've heard rumours about Sealy Harris leaving but he is still on the club website so I'm not sure. I imagine it won't be long until Spencer gets round to reshuffling the squad!

With so many personal situations in play, I think it would be entirely reasonable to expect quite a few changes ahead.
Not the 'revolving door', but people sorting out their lives and priorities.
Hope it works out OK for everyone and we can hold on to a tight team for when Saturday comes again....

It's football Rich, but not as we know it!! I think that will be the mantra when it finally comes back!
I foresee many changes at Regional, League, and Club levels, and maybe a different aspect on the pyramid system, from top to bottom, including the mega rich prima-donnas of the Premier League inside their bubble, oblivious to the real world!! Playing behind closed doors, not because they want to , but because they financially have to, or break contracts and be forced to pay back TV money that they have mortgaged on, quite frankly, sometimes pretty average players from abroad!! Absolute nonsense!!
I've long thought that the PL bubble/empire would implode some day, and this may be the catalyst for it.
There will definitely have to be some cloth cutting to fit, at all levels, and maybe at last some realisation to what is really important in life, and especially pertaining to football!!
Spencer's article in the NLP was pretty spot on, and that's from someone who hasn't been one of his greatest fans over the years, but I take my hat off to him for it.
I also fear that some Clubs at our level, and below, may fall by the wayside, which is tragic.
On the other hand, there may/will be a huge surplus of players from Clubs higher up shedding staff, that will be desperate to get a game, at whatever cost!! which may help the situation a bit, IF lower Clubs can find even that finance!!
The great Shanks said, "Football is a matter of life or death?, it's more important than that".
As great a man as he was, I'm afraid he was way off the mark!!
See you at Cherrywood sometime soon Rich, I hope. If we all sit 4 seats apart, the stand might look full!!
Regards to your Dad, and stay safe.

Morning Bob, Morning all.
Hope all are keeping safe and well. Coming back to your comments regarding the PL, I couldn't agree more. One thing that the pandemic has done is focus people's minds of what's really important in life, and true values. I for one gave up on the concept of the PL several years ago. The greed of all involved (with the exception of some of the players)is sickening. I will not be renewing my Sky Sports subscribtion when it comes up for renewal in a couple of months time because the ordinary football fans of PL clubs in my opinion are being royally ripped off. When hopefully this pandemic is over and the world starts to return to a new normal I look forward to returning to watching Boro play!

Hi Bob - You raise some good points there, especially about TV revenue in the PL. God knows how it will all pan out? There will still be plenty of billionaires out there but they may not find it so glorious to be 'the govenor' in empty stadiums..?! Long-live non-league footy! I'll pass on your regards to Dad. Keep safe and see you soon...

Dead right Peter.
I've never had Sky, and don't intend to, far too expensive!! and BT Sport came free with my telephone/TV/computer package, but I left it off when upgrading recently. Agent I spoke to was most perplexed, but I found out that it was staying free while no sport was being shown but would be an extra charge when they start up again, so I confirmed to cancel it permanently!
It's only when armchair supporters turn Sky/BT, and the rest, off that common sense will prevail!
It may well happen without that, as I'm sure advertising budgets at major companies will be severely tested in future, leaving TV unable to support sporting events at the current rates!

Correct. The restart of the premier league and championship season is financially driven. If the season was not finished, the premier league would lose about £760 million, and a lot of this is assisted by the likes of BT Sport and Sky Sports showing games each Saturday and Sunday. There is a reason why every game is being broadcast on the television, and it will be good to see, but it's just a shame the season was not motivated to restart because of the love and passion for the game, but instead because of money. I think the love of the game is still there, but in my opinion it is not a proper representation of football. Of course money is important to a business, but I think it's better to focus on the health and fitness of players above ANYTHING else, and then focus on restarting the season when the country is in a better state, when lockdown eases, and when the government says it should be ok to do so. Furthermore, if football restarts when lockdown is over we should be able to have fans back in the stadium (even though that might be a while away yet). I suppose it could be argued that non league (or lower league football such as steps three and four of the football pyramid) is better in that sense, as it is "real" football and the players play part time because they enjoy it and they want to help their team win. I'm sure all the top level players and managers want to help their team win as well, but personally I think a lot of them are too focused on money as well.
On the other hand I think it is good to see football restarting and I think the public will enjoy watching the first two games on Wednesday evening.

Listening to the Non League Show podcast and the Wealdstone gaffer was saying there are 1400 players from the top 4 divisions about to become free agents through contract release, so there will be plenty of filtering down the levels, especially from the higher academies who after promising teenagers the world and bigging their egos up, have turned around and told them 'bye bye, you're not up to scratch', so we may well end up with another crop of talented youngsters again and then face a battle to sign an experienced spine to manage a game and nurture the kids!

I agree, the filtering downwards of players may well bolster Clubs at our level, and I'm sure there will be a lot of 'Sealey-Harris' type players looking to re-ignite their career somewhere.
The bugbear, as always, is finance. Will Clubs still have it available?, and will the players and agents still be looking for unrealistic wages?
I truly hope that Rob and Spencer do not succumb to the temptations, and I'm pretty sure they won't, but you can bet your life some clown will do it at some Club, and the whole saga will start again!!
The plastic Premier can play their silly/greedy games behind closed doors, I'm done with them, didn't even watch the Wolves game tonight!!
I'm just longing to get back to some REAL footy! Lets hope it's soon eh?

Just a couple of points guy's. Andrew Musungo left the club way before the enforced break and to reassure everybody. We certainly will not be paying out any inflated wage deals when the season eventually starts. Quite the opposite in fact.

Well said Jim. Didn't for a minute think that we would join in any wages scramble, even if we were able too!! Been there, done that, and we all know where that took us, and the trouble it caused!!
