Totton or Salisbury it is then for the Boxing Day/ New Year double header 😂 Rumours are that the Boxing Day & NY double header is no more. New proposal seems to be a Boxing Day & Good Friday double and a NYD & Easter Monday double. More subs too, apparently. We do love a full bench, so that'll benefit us.

Can see the logic in pairing those dates so not too bad if they go for that over playing the same team twice in a week. At least it still looks to maximise attendances on Bank Holiday fixtures.

Appreciate any more than 3 subs is unnecessary with our budget, but I've long held that it's ridiculous clubs at our level can only have a 5-man bench - if, unlike us, you have a reserve keeper and enough players outside the 11 to cover every position on the field, you should be able to access them during the 90!

As Spencer mentioned in an earlier report, doesn't matter if you have 5,6, or 7, subs, even if you only use 3, you STILL have to pay them all!! An unneccesary expense for a club of our size!

Can see one downside to that. They will have to combined 3 or 4 teams together. Example. Torquay. Home v Truro on Boxing Day Away v Weston on NYD
Will this then mean that there will be longer journeys midweek for some clubs.
South west to us; Truro, Torquay, Weston, Weymouth, Bath, Chippenham, Totton / Salisbury, Farnborough. I wonder where the midweek trips would take us.

Marine and Leamington promoted to the North. That cup run has really helped Marine! Enfield in the South after beating Chatham 3-0, while Totton and Salisbury goes to extra time.
We'll know the league for next season in around 30-45 minutes. Worthing v Braintree also goes to extra time after a cracking first 90 minutes.

The cup run definitely helped Marine. They were getting crowds close to 4 figures after that in Step 4. They were one of the unfortunate clubs back in the 90s, managed by Roly Howard, who was in a race with Ted Pearce RIP, for most games at the same club as manager.
They finished top of the Northern Premier League, but couldn't go up as the ground is three sided. The other side is very tight for capacity.

As well as Ball, I see Tom Leggett was playing for Salisbury. Perez signed for them but wasn't in squad.
Berries Tanner and former loan player Reece Beckles-Richards are at Met Police.
