The first eliminator finishes tonight.
Braintree win the tie against Bath in the 119th minute, setting up a tie against rivals Chelmsford in the semis. Fiesty.
Maidstone host Aveley tomorrow night to decide who travels to Worthing.

So Bath blow it!! Serves em right for taking the easy way on Saturday and letting Aveley through!
From the Bath Forum: no red or yellow cards and no injuries is all that matters. plus were not going to bust a gut today when we need energy for tuesday. most relaxed i've felt all season today.

Bath City were on a 6-game unbeaten run. Saturday's defeat seemed to disrupt their momentum and likely contributed in some small way to their play-off elimination last night.

A win for Maidstone means they face Worthing after they beat Aveley in added time.

Maidstone 2 - 1 Averley
We are so lucky to have such an easy to use forum as most others I've looked at are horrible to use or seriously lacking in debate..
Well done Nigel!

Braintree best Chelmo at their gaff yesterday so Chelmo out of the playoff at the first hurdle once more! Also means whoever wins today out of Worthing/ Maidstone is at home in the final.

Worthing beat Maidstone 2-1 with a last minute Ollie Pearce goal to set up a Worthing v Braintree final. Another season in the NLS for Maidstone, I think they’ll be serious contenders next season. I want Braintree to go up just so we don’t have to go there. I think they’ll have a torrid time in the NL if they manage to pull it off. Worthing must be favourites though to reach the promised land on their own patch.

Ollie Pearce is way too good for this level, scoring 40 this season. Im sure they will do it.
With the money that Maidstone have from the cup run, it's hard to look past them as challengers next season.
In terms of teams coming up there is still a chance for a local derby with Bracknell, but they have to get past Totton and then of Salisbury or Gosport.
They'll join Hornchurch and Chesham. Should be a decent league next season. If Salisbury come up that'll be midweek next season, along with some lengthy trip west now Taunton and Yeovil have gone.

Some toughies again in NLS next season.
Maidstone will be strong again, Hornchurch are loaded moneywise, so expect some strong action from them, Dorking will be going flat out, as will Boreham Wood, and I suspect a strong challenge from Torquay as well, besides all those that made some great efforts this season!! Loser of Worthing/Braintree, Chelmsford, Bath, St Albans and the like will all want to give it another go. Could we also get another Aveley charge?
Who knows? Roll on July
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

Some toughies again in NLS next season. I suspect a strong challenge from Torquay as well If they make it to next season. Looking at the Torquay forum, fans hope there's a party out there who will take ownership and pay off the club's debts as required by the League's rules in good time for the AGM AND have funding in place so the club can continue in the manner to which their fans have become accustomed. Hmm. A tall order when the League's AGM is less than six weeks away. Torquay incurred a 10 point deduction when they filed to enter administration on 13 March. It's now 28 April. Time is tight. I recall the hope around here when Farnborough Town FC was in its death-throes. The bit that means we still have a club to watch at Cherrywood also applies to Torquay - Rushmoor Borough Council continues to own Cherrywood, while Torbay Council own Plainmoor and have seen off a pretty naked attempt by a property developer chairman pretending to be "a fan of football" while never taking his eye off his true goal. He bailed out when when it became abundantly clear his scheme wouldn't fly. So, anyone prepared to take on Torquay will already know they have very little chance of covering their investment by leveraging the value of the land to profit from building houses on it. Will they invest regardless? We'll find out soon enough.
