Spencer has said he would be offering every player a new contract, but not giving them long to decide? Who do we want to stay? Who would we not be fussed about? And who should we look for in the transfer market?
Current squad below:
Jack Turner Jack Ball CJ Fearn Ollie Robinson Guy Hollis Edon Pruti Kanye Jobson Adam Mekki Joe Haigh Olly Pendlebury Adam Payce Taylor Clark Ronan Silva Reggie Young Selim Saied Ricky Holmes Connor Cullen Hisham Kasimu Millar Matthews-Lewis Marco Haigh

Jack Turner - 100% stay.
Jack Ball - 100% stay hope he is still part of plans.
Jordan Norville-Williams - 100% stay.
CJ Fearn - 100% stay.
Ollie Robinson -100% stay.
Guy Hollis - 100% stay.
Edon Pruti - 100% stay.
Kanye Jobson - Keep but loan out (one for the future).
Maxwell Mullins - Send back to Aldershot from his Twitter that’s where he wants to be.
Adam Mekki - Go past his best.
Joe Haigh - 100% stay.
Olly Pendlebury - 100% stay.
Adam Payce - Keep but loan out (one for the future).
Taylor Clark - 100% stay (if deal can be agreed/wants to stay).
Ronan Silva - Feels like emergency cover but perhaps give a chance in pre-season.
Reggie Young - 100% stay.
Selim Saied - Not as bothered as I was last season after I think a poor season in comparison to the last one. If he can improve end product though then I’d still like to see him stay.
Ricky Holmes - 100% stay.
Connor Cullen - I would like to see stay but feel like going out on loan is likely.
Hisham Kasimu - 100% stay if can regain fitness/belief in himself.
Millar Matthews-Lewis - Really not sure, something there but glaring misses in last 2 matches.
Marco Haigh - Impossible to say as not seen him play but assume he was part of the Joe deal so will be staying and probably go out on loan.
Add Aaron Kuhl, Hady Ghandour, a right back and one more quality striker to the above and we’ll be right up there next season.

Not sure he can offer a contract to people on loan unless they're released by their parent club?
In an ideal world:
Jack Turner
Jack Ball
Jordan Norville-Williams
CJ Fearn
Ollie Robinson
Guy Hollis
Edon Pruti Joe Haigh
Olly Pendlebury Taylor Clark Reggie Young
Selim Saied
Ricky Holmes
Connor Cullen
Hisham Kasimu
Plus: Aaron Kuhl A first-choice, not injury-prone striker A right back / wing-back.

The rumour is Pavey will be too expensive and therefore appears a non starter. I suppose a loan is possible though. Hoping/got a feeling we will see Hady back with us, hopefully Hish will return to the player he was before Sutton and I think we will need one more high quality forward. Ideally we’d get two on top of Hish & Hady but we’ve got to keep within the budget obviously.

Has been suggested that Kuhl will be back.
Joe Haigh is already on contact for next season.
Can't remember if any other players have been mentioned as being under contract. Think one was Bradbury, which worked out well.

For me , I hope Spencer can persuade Ricky to play and coach for another season.

For me , I hope Spencer can persuade Ricky to play and coach for another season. Absolutely agree, he was a class above again yesterday. He has been different level since the turn of the year. I have to admit at the end of last season I thought his best days might be behind him (at this level), but very happy to have been completely wrong.

If he does I unfortunately can’t see them letting him go now they’re back in the NLS.

I didn't think so and surely even if that's the case they will have to reduce their playing budget after going down?
If we offered him a similar wage I'd like to think that might swing it since he lives locally...

No i think it’s been mentioned on here a few times his contract expires end of May at Dorking (hope this is true) and he decides to return. Saying that I can’t find anything when searching online so not sure where the info was obtained but also believe he was working in Waitrose Yateley when here so maybe pop in do some shopping and ask him lol

They signed him January 2023 and Marc White said: "Aaron was someone on our shortlist of targets at that time, and we are delighted to finally get him on a long term deal’’. I’d have thought ‘long term’ would be at least 2 seasons, a year and five month contract seems odd. Better get down Waitrose I suppose…

It would be nice to get some continuity of a very good squad for next season and, finances permitting, I would retain most of them if we could.
Mullins is an Aldershot player so we lose him, unless they release him. Similarly Mathews-Lewis from Luton. Mekki, ? The last of our major signings from the start of the season, who didn't cut it, so No. Silva? really didn't see enough first time round, and again this time, so No. Pace? keep on the books, as I think he has some promise, but loan out. Jobson? again didn't see enough of him to judge. My worry is Hish! is he another Folivi, made of glass?
Targets? Obviously Khul, but might need some heavy negotiating. Possibly Page, as Shots don't seem to be considering him. Khandour, if he doesn't get retained. A RB cover for Hollis, who I think has been a tremendous signing. Pavey??? And as a real challenge, could we lure the big man back from H & R??
Whatever, I hope the selections this coming season are not based on old heads coming down the scale just looking for a final pay day, as oppossed to young eager players who will work hard to try and earn a regular spot.

Seems to be a consensus building on who fans would like to see stay.
If we are to come out fighting next season it's important that we have squad continuity through the summer and use psf's to properly assess possible additions. We can't afford to waste time and effort sorting the chaff from the wheat in season.
Ruthless budget prioritisation might well mean that we can no longer provide some players a "chance" to find fitness and form (eg.Hish).

I agree with most of the above on to keep,
The only ones I’d comment on are
Holmes - how much has he still got in the tank, obviously he’s getting older more susceptible to injury. I’m not arguing he’s a top player and you could see the difference he made when he came on but I’m wondering if / when he’ll hang up his playing boots.
Saied - after this seasons pre season walkabout where apparently no one knew where he was until he rocked up at Barnsley he has struggled 2nd half of the season for game time if he is willing to pull his socks up and work hard keep but if not let him go.
Hish - now I have a lot of time for Hish and I was one of those calling for his return on here but pre Sutton Hish and what we took back are two different people. As has said earlier on here I’m wondering if we have another Folivi situation with Hish where he’ll only ply if he’s 100% comfortable and if he doesn’t feel like playing then screw you sort of thing. Hish we had before would have run through a wall so is it now he’s had a taste of full time he can’t see himself putting himself through the possible injury for our cause. Also not sure he’s happy after he posted an insta story yesterday almost hinting at having a niggle and being told / asked to play through in the words of his insta story “ sometimes your injured and business still moves on and your told to do your job when it’s not right for you”
