To be honest, I'm not too disappointed that we will not make the play-offs as I don't feel Boro would be able to compete next season financially in the National league. Whilst saying that, it's been a good season for the club both on and off the field. It's encouraging to see the club growing with increased sponsorships, crowds and families attending. On the field there has been significant progress since the Southern Premier days. The team play some entertaining stuff and for me were well worth the purchase of a season ticket.
So thanks to the board, the players, Spencer and his management team of the baker boys and Ricky, plus the volunteers, its been a good season.
I am confident the club can build on this progress and success next season.

Just to add salt to my gaping wound… Connor Hall scored twice today for Brackley against Chester. Hady Ghandour didn’t even make Aldershot's bench. Alfie Pavey didn’t even make Wokings bench. Plus Dorking went down with Kuhl playing..

That could play into our hands next season, Matt!

That could play into our hands next season, Matt! Hopefully, praying Kuhly comes back next season. Keep the current squad together, sign Kuhl, Hady, Pavey and a right back who is equally as good as Jordan is on the left and next season will be a very good one. If only making that a reality was as simple as typing it.

Given that almost half of the top 20 appearances this season have been from our players, it shows how decent difficult it is to have a big squad.
Well done to everyone this season. All eyes on Tuesday and it's not over until it's over.
My optimism will probably be shot down sooner or later.

Although of course if he got a better offer in the summer he could go.

We can still make it, IF Hampton lose to St Albans on Tuesday. If they lose, we would need a win + two goal swing in our favour (if they lose it would be less) and Aveley to drop points. It's not over until it's over. All eyes on Tuesday. But if they do win on Tuesday, then I'll point to this result. If we play our hearts out and play well, then there's no shame in defeat and/or missing out on something in my opinion. But for it to end like that is a shame, if that's how it is to end. We have to hope HRB lose to both St Albans and Maidstone with them knowing 1 point pretty much guarantees them the last spot. We also have to hope Aveley lose to Bath.

No pretty sure we took him back on loan after he was recalled until the end of the season so unless by some divine miracle we do make the playoffs he goes back to Hartlepool. Please correct me if I’m wrong someone as I would love someone to say I’m wrong and he’s ours.

Yes, but to even have any hope of getting playoffs ourselves, then we need to hope for Tuesday. Disappointed that we let it slip. If it was out of our control and we played well then I'd be ok.

Decent overview from the gaffer. Already talking to players, which is good to hear. And hopefully Spencer has learnt from the recruitment this summer.

I've been a huge critic in the past, but there's a man who cares about the club, as a whole, and not just a team!!
Spencer I tried to get to you at the end to shake your hand, but you were deeply involved, and rightly looking after the players.
If I had the chance I would have said thank you for a fantastic season overall. We had an Iffy start, but you put it right, and there were many smiling, happy faces around the place, which we haven't seen for a long time.
As you say, and on Grand National Day, it was just one fence too far, but it was a fantastic effort all round, and lets hope that is the start of growing for next season, and more great days to come.
Thanks to Rob, Yourself, the Directors, all the backroom staff, coaching staff bar staff, tea bar staff and volunteers, and most of all the players who gave their all, but just fell short. No disgrace in that, it was a great team effort.
IF, there is a favourable result on Tuesday, we go to Weymouth for one final push, but if not lets have a party, you all deserve it!!
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!
