Not particularly surprised, given the weather.
Mind you, the drainage has been better in recent years. We've managed to get the game on against Yeovil, let's hope we can do something similar in terms getting it on.

Been hammering it down all day. My friend left mine (had to collect a ticket) for the ground hop in Devon. Tonight's game at Honiton postponed.
Not long after the A303 was closed between the A36 junction for Warminster through to the A350 for Poole, was then extended to Wincanton.

Yeah, 0900hrs inspection screams 'foregone conclusion' really. As does the monsoon still lashing down outside now !
Still given another game on Monday, this might not be the worst postponement. Eases the fixture congestion but hopefully not by enough to break the momentum we've built up !

I don't know if the Club has taken measures similar to the Yeovil game, when the vulnerable areas of the pitch were covered to avoid the "dam effect" (think waterlogging) in front of the main stand.
Either way, it's marginal if the game will be on, due to the very heavy rain today on already saturated low-lying ground. We'll find out soon enough.

Sadly Nigel the problem was much bigger than for the Yeovil game. For that game the standing water was in front of the Charles Mortimer Stand today the whole of the pitch has standing water on it.

Thanks Paul. Shame for a bank holiday as we would have had a big crowd. Oh well.
