During a wardrobe clearance, I have found loads of paperwork, accounts and minutes books, etc relating to Farnborough Town, Supporters Club, and Ground development Association, some dating back to as early as 1976!!, which is when, I believe we moved to Cherrywood Road.
Fascinating reading, of days gone by and the enormous amount of work and fund raising done to help the club.
These are a true history of our Club's early days, and should not be lost or forgotten.
We don't have an official archevist, apart from the oracle Mark Hardy, but if anyone would like to have them, and keep them for posterity I would gladly hand them over. They are too good to ditch.
Give me a call on 07795093505, or contact me at a game.

It may be worth speaking to micky Keith as I believe he has collected most programmes from the old club. It's a shame nobody has up to date appearances and goals records that's posted somewhere

Matt has a good stats section onthis forum, and Mark Hardy has a vast knowledge of former players etc, but this is mainly minutes and records of supporters club, and GDA from way back, with plans and drawings of develpoments and costings etc. Too good to throw out.

Vince Curtis used to be one of the Club archivists Bob and then I thought that Trents took over?
The videos I had of the West Ham games and the Brentford FA Cup game went to Trents and I believe that the Arsenal video went to him for safe keeping also?
There were many other videos including the Panionios game that were also sent to Trents.
Worth asking him if he is still keeping records.

Brian, with only one response, I passed them over to Paul, (forgotten his surname), who already had a large collection of Boro stuff, and wanted to start an archive!!
I've now also been contacted by Luke Burford of the Supporters Trust, who also wants to form an official archive with items already collected by the Trust. Should have done that in the first place I suppose!!
I'm hoping that I can now put these two in contact.
Paul, if you read this, can you please call me again 07795093505 and I will put you both in contact.
Regretably, your contact number has gone from my phone!

Was that Paul Trentner that contacted you Bob? That's who I think is the current historian.

John O'Hara has plenty of memorabilia as well from the very very early days of FTFC & its entities pre-dating that and would certainly be worth speaking with over getting copies of potential documents/ pictures etc. for the archive.

No, sorry. Have you tried the Farnborough library reference section on the upper floor. They have all sorts of Newspaper editions going way back, used to be on microfiche, but probably computerised by now! Worth a try!
