Question, are we at our level how do we move on from here. Obviously everyone wants to win every game and league and progress. But have we hit our level as a part time club. What are the new directors ambitions for the club. For me having seen the old club die and this one go into administration in the past I'm happy with a club to support. If we were to go full time and move up to the national league just as an estimate, a squad of 20 players each on 500 pound a week will cost you £520000 a year in wages, without paying anything else. Anyone got that money to invest. So at 5pm tonight win lose or draw let's think about where we want to be and what we can do to get us there.

You may be a tad optimistic there Ginger re National League players at £500 a week!!
I'm pretty sure, although no official knowledge, that several clubs in this League pay around that, so NL must surely be around £1k or above as Clubs from the football League slide downwards with players on two or three year contracts. Look what the situation caused at Ebbsfleet? and I'm sure they aren't alone!
That forces other NL Clubs to try and compete, and the spiral goes downwards!
The influx of bigger Clubs just increases the pressure on lower clubs, and part time ones, so competition becomes more and more fierce.
There are two options:
1. Find a wealthy backer to support the club and push it upwards ( been there, done that, and felt the consequences!! Don't want that again!!)
2. Work with what you have, to the best of your ability finance wise, get to the highest possible position in the League and, above all, be content that you have done all you can, and ACCEPT that the Club is at a sustainable level to allow it to continue for many more years. DON'T CHASE RAINBOWS, YOU WON'T CATCH ONE!!
This Club is probably at it's best, and most comfortable level currently, and with a bit more stability playing wise we will be fine. As I always quote, everything revolves around what happens on the pitch.
The addition of new Directors, to spread the load, is an excellent move, and is to be applauded.
I wish them and the Club well.
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

I'm happy to stay in this league and be competitive it would kill us if we went upto the National League unless we find a Multi Millionaire investor. Like Ginge says I'm happy to have a club to support both home and away.
