Happy days, so pleased the first win monkey is off our back. Hopefully with the first 3 points the pressure won’t be as intense and we can play with a bit more freedom.
I was worried first 20 minutes of second half, the equaliser on the stroke of half time seemed to knock the life out of us and Hemel came on strong, but we dug deep and ground out the win.
Really pleased for Connor, majestic diving header to seal the points and he’s been brilliant since returning, despite initially wondering if he would be up to the level, more than pleased to admit he’s proved any doubt as unfounded.
Reservations I heard regarding Alfie look unwarranted as well, the blokes a machine in the air and is going to be a real threat! He can finish with his feet and take a penalty too. Once fit if Folivi can get up and running we should significantly improve last seasons goal tally! If Gifford can contribute too we’ll be in absolute dream land!

Very early days and the opportunities, and issues, are coming into focus. The main negative is the lack of mobility, agility and accuracy in midfield - teams are learning how to break through to our defence far too easily. Work is needed, to say the least. Meanwhile, going forward, Reggie is being played on the left and Salem on the right. I'm struggling to understand the switch, as the reverse was very effective last season. We created very few decent chances tonight, but got away with it with fine finishing. We're on a learning curve, just like most others in the division.

I got to watch the might Boro from sunny Vancouver. Unfortunately in the middle of the work day so had it on the background. Positives: - We finally beat Hemel.
- First win of the season.
- Two decent goals to win it.
Areas for dev: - The livestream has no timer.
- A lot of possession didn't result in a lot of chances.

Just an observation, Reggie crossed from the left, Alfie Pavey nodded in at the far post. Selim crossed from the right and Connor headed in the winner........

I have to say, most of last season Reggie played on the right, cut in and banged in a few with his left foot, whilst Selim had great success down the left, but then we had Jordan and Jonny O marauding down either flanks on the left and right to support, but they were also able to defend when needed.
We don't have that this year. Jordan is flying down the left, but we don't yet have that same capability on the right.
With all respects to Sid or Bally, they aren't the quickest on the flanks, so we are a bit unbalanced in my view, but what do I know??, I don't read the dreaded coaching manuals!! I'd recycle the lot of them!!
If Selim and Reggie can operate and swop sides from time to time then, ok that might be an answer, time will tell, or maybe Alfie Saunders can take up the Jonny O role in time?
Maybe then we can get back to a proper back four, instead of the worrying three at the back, that leaves so many holes down the sides of the defence!!
My blue recycling bin awaits any manuals you wish to donate!!

Looking at the winning goal Reggie on the right passed to Selim on the right who put over the cross for Conner.
