Firstly, I'd just like to send by best wishes to the staff member that was taken ill during half time. He was up and responsive quite quickly and managed to walk off the pitch. 🟡🔵
With regards to the game, I think we are just replicating last season's results. 1-0 loss, 1-1 draw.
It was a close game as Alfie headed home just before half time, and the PRE lads grew into song which spurred us on and comfortably made us the better side for quite a lot of that second half, but equalised as they slotted it into the bottom left and threatened to get a second at parts throughout the game.
We should, could and most likely would have won the game in the final ten minutes, with the most blatant hand ball that you're ever going to see on the right hand side of the box, and then a clear foul about fifteen yards out moments later. The same Lino that missed their handball also gave them a free kick for a handball on Ricky amidst all that! Poor, and I don't blame Spencer for having a pop at him at the full time whistle. I'm looking forward to the interview.
We played well today and everyone was knackered in the final moments, but we really are missing Deering, Page or someone of his equivalent in midfield desperately! There were clear elements of hoofball today!
On to Tuesday... only Hemel Hempstead, what could go wrong? Never mind I'll watch it on the streaming service that went well for me last time.

Firstly, I hope Bob the steward is OK and makes a full recovery. Bravo to all those people who rushed to his aid...
Tom - Nice to see the smile on Bob's face today when he realised you'd unexpectedly come down for the game. Nice one!
Ref - I thought you were running the game very well until you started letting EB players put you in their pocket buying fouls left, right and centre - and then that moment...! And the next one - Really!
Lino - I have no words...
EB were a very competent opponent, comfortable on the ball and precise in their build up. Their sub no. 15 made a big difference to their play between the half-way line and our 18 yard box. By comparison, we looked rushed and ill composed in mid-field. Not sure that Perez and Partington have found a way yet to hold possession in midfield and distribute effectively.
Mick- we scored from a corner! Would we have scored from a penalty (had it been awarded!)..?
Roll on Tuesday
