2 points dropped - Yate were for there for the taking but as soon as we got to 30 yards from goal it all broke down... Second half we seemed to play with no centre forward, we would have the ball on the flank and look to put it in the middle and time after time there was no-one there so we had to stop and recycle backwards and try and work the ball across.
Both teams worked hard in the driving rain and Yate will be disappointed not to have snuck a winner on the counter, Beach pulled off a good few saves, mostly from distance that were creeping under the bar.

Well at last, Spencer got a response from the lads to stand up and match the bully boys!!
Word appears to have got round that we are a young side that can be pushed around, but not tonight!! Yate were big, strong, whinging, and generally loud, particularly 9 and 7, who have obviously been around, and tried to manhandle the situation. But we stood toe to toe, which is good to see. Three early chances came and went, which is worrying, and Beachy pulled off the save of the season, from behind his back somehow!! Luckily the lino was far too far away from the goal line to judge in or out, And he isn't Russian!! The feeling was always there though that a 'Man U' 90+10 goal was coming, but thanks to Beachy again we survived.
Yate are not a nice side to play against, and I'm glad it will be some time before we do!!

Assidjo has to start next game, surely?
First three touches as good as any in the game...
Solid snap shot from 35 yards...
Strong, holds the ball, fends off challenges...
Intelligent passes and runs...
Stays wide to create space to open up opportunities.
Gets my vote (assuming he's fit to play for 90 mins).
