Seven out of the eight playoff semi finals from Step 7 went to extra time, and five of them went to penalties. Madness.
NPL Premier Bamber Bridge 1-1 Gainsborough Trinity (Bamber Bridge won 5-3 on pens) Warrington Town 4-1 Matlock Town
SPL Central Coalville Town 1-1 Rushall Olympic (Rushall Olympic won 4-3 on pens) Leiston Town 1-2 Nuneaton Borough (AET)
SPL South Bracknell Town 1-0 Chesham United (AET) Truro City 1-1 Poole Town (Truro won 4-1 on pens)
Isthmian Premier Canvey Island 0-0 Aveley (Aveley won 4-2 on pens) Hornchurch 3-3 Cray Wanderers (Hornchurch won 4-2 on pens)
Finals
Warrington v Bamber Bridge Nuneaton Borough v Rushall Olympic Bracknell Town v Truro City Hornchurch v Aveley
So it's two of Bracknell, Truro, Aveley and Hornchurch in our league next year.

If Bracknell make it - they've lost home and away to Truro in the regular season - I'll be able to stroll from my front door to a Farnborough away game for the first time since Farnborough Town were in the same division as Camberley Town. That was in 1981. I feel old. For the record, the following season (1982) our opponents were:- Wokingham Town Bognor Regis Town Metropolitan Police Oxford City Feltham Lewes Hertford Town Wembley Epsom & Ewell Kingstonian Hampton Hornchurch Aveley St Albans City Maidenhead United Tilbury Walton & Hersham Chesham United Clapton Ware I unearthed this detail via this fascinating resource of "statto"-type stuff: fchd.info/

Tom, just to point you in the right direction These are Step 3 Play Offs, Step 7 would be County level in the NL pyramid.

Some serious money will need to be spent on that to stay up, providing they do beat Truro. All on a flood plain....

Sandhurst's ground in the Conference South. Some serious money will need to be spent on that to stay up, providing they do beat Truro. All on a flood plain.... Well, approx. £1M+ has been spent so far, including a new pitch with new drainage*, upgraded lights, a new clubhouse and a second seated stand. Presumably more is available if needed. *The intention was to install a 3G surface, but they missed out on a planning application deadline so laid a new grass surface instead. I'd imagine a 3G is still part of the plan.

The intention is to go back to Bracknell when they find a suitable location. The one identified so far is where the Leisure Centre in on the A322, but when I went there on January 3rd 2022, I spoke to the owner along with 2 Staines fans and inquired when they would be going back. He said an announcement would be made in February. Guess what? Nothing.
I find it strange that you move out of the home ground without first having planning permission at least in place for a new venue. Poor old Epson & Ewell still haven't found anywhere after leaving West Street in the late 80s.

Mmmm, that sounds a familiar story Mark!!
Exactly what happened at my old club Guildford City all those years ago!!, 'Saviour' comes in, loads of promises, loads of 'alleged' dodgy dealings, Club eventually folds.
New Club started, but nowhere within the Borough of Guildford for a replacement ground, despite all the promises and pretty drawings and plans!! New start up Club has to share with others, old ground is now a housing estate!! Further irony was that they named the main street after one of the old Club's all time heroes!! How sick was that!!
It's also what could have happened to Farnborough Town, if GW had gone through with the move to Kingstonians F.C., and look what happened to them not long after with Wimbledon and then Chelsea!!
Same old, same old, story!!!!, and I'm sure there are many more similar stories around the Country.
Good luck to Bracknell and Sandhurst, who may be the final beneficiaries after all!!
Moral??, be careful what you wish for when a new buyer comes knocking!!!
From a Club that knows only too well!!!

Poor old Epson & Ewell still haven't found anywhere after leaving West Street in the late 80s. Bracknell Town did have a new venue though. In strict legal terms it's still Sandhurst Town's ground, but that will change soon enough - expect a merger/takeover announcement sooner rather than later if and when Sandhurst Town Council is brought onside. There are just as many houses near Sandhurst's ground compared with Larges Lane, which is on the opposite side of town to where the good citizens of Bracknell, many of whom would have had no idea the town had a football club, actually live. BTW, I feel for the Staines fans. Something on the cards for years finally happened - the cuckoo invited in as a potential saviour threw them out of the nest. They should look to Slough Town and Oxford City - both were pretty much dead, but both have found a way back.

Bracknell and Sandhurst are owned by the same family. Sandhurst is really Bracknell reserves.

The guy behind Bracknell and Sandhurst wants to win. It remains to be seen how far his money will carry Bracknell and, to a much lesser extent, Sandhurst.
