Well I think apart from the streaming issues for the first fifteen minutes, the last few minutes likely due to running out of transmission time, our personal computer shutting down midway through the first half, the consistently awful long throws that result in nothing, and the late winner for them meaning we dropped to tenth, apart from that it was excellent!

Sorry, but if that is the standard of transmission, camera work and commentating, they can stick it in future!!
I prefer to listen to our lads on the radio, and Dom and Jules reporting.
Waste of £9-00 in my view.

I think today was a reality check as to where we really are, and that's running on empty. Worthing put 7 past Concord, when we could only grab an injury time winner against them. Slough put 6 past Chippenham when we couldn't beat them twice. Don't think we can afford to drop anymore points, but got to play both those teams. Almost impossible ask.
Hope John is ok!!!!

Couldn’t agree more, today was a real reality check looking at the other results. From our point of view, relying on long throws and set pieces won’t be enough, got to get the ball down and try and play. I thought Saied going off in place of Silva was really naïve. It was nowhere near far enough in to the second half to try and shut up shop and hold on to what we had, and it bit us on the arse two minutes later when Chelmsford equalised, and we were left without our most creative player on the pitch. On a different note, does anyone know when Reggie is due back? He was doing some strength work on the pitch during the warm up against Concord and he didn’t look too far away. Wish the club would update on injuries. Same goes for Harry Parsons, is his season over? Might he figure again? would just be good to know. Best wishes to John, hope it’s not as serious as first feared.

Well, that was a couple of hours of my life I wouldn't want back again quickly!!
The match? We got bullied by a huge team that really only wanted to play kick and run!!
We persisted in the long throw system against two giants centre halves, and it was never going to work, as we have seen for most of the season so far!!
We have now reached our pinnacle I fear for the season, although a win on Monday might cheer us all up a bit, and, in fairness, the season has been far better than we anticipated in August, so a small crumb of comfort.
And as for the TV experiment, well abject failure is all I can say. Due to transmit at 2-30, actually came live at around 3-20, missing our first goal, and following a long injury to Johhny O, went off air at least ten minutes before the game finished!! AND missing the Chelmsford winner!! I bet the Chelmsford tv followers will be equally annoyed!!
Strange that every other game listed for transmission was available, even the Shots!! which was annoying.
Just to rub it in, my computer shut down half way through, and then the radio commentary also dropped out, and all we could hear was the crowd noise!!, AND they got their 3rd, whilst it was down as well!!
Camera work, when on, was pretty poor, and the commentary was pretty monosyllabic, so shan't be watching again if the occasion should occur.
Hope John is ok, and would be nice if the Club could keep us informed. Get well soon John!
All in all, a day to forget!!!

Foremost - hope Johnny O is OK and that measures were mostly precautionary....
From what we saw on the televised coverage (which is another story entirely...) that was a pretty crap football contest. It's evidence that at National South there are some great games and quite a few more worthy of the Aldershot Sunday League. Long balls, hit and hope, minimise skilful play and don't dare try anything different than the long throw-in...To a 6ft+ defence...
Their first two goals were softer than any soft thing that Baldrick could dream up. I mean, wake up to the immediate attack after we went 2-1 up FFS. And, what a tactical genius move to replace Saied with Silva immediately after we took the lead. Settle, consolidate, check all bases and THEN, adjust. Numpty management.
I reckon mid-table is where we'll now end up and I'd have happily taken that at the season's start!
Who needs play offs? Worse thing would be to gain promotion!
See you next Monday..
