Get in!!!!!!!!!! That's a terrific win at a very difficult place, and pitch. On to Tuesday, and Concord at home. Not a foregone conclusion by any means, but a win puts us in to 'nose bleed ' play off territory!
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

A first for me - listening to the guys on the radio commentary, whilst tinkering with my Land Rover and getting a win!
I even had 0-1 to us with Pagey scoring in my head this morning whilst looking at the fans forum prediction thread - spooky...
Great result and let's not f**k it up on Tuesday!

I went. The conditions weren't great for flowing football, but Hampton's pitch rarely is. A bit of a grind to be truthful, it wasn't so easy on the eye for much of the time. Hampton were threadbare on numbers as they were impacted by it being an internationals weekend, so Comley and his mates were off playing for Montserrat. They looked well short in midfield, which meant we were comfortable for nearly all of the game. But, we struggled to create clear opportunities despite clearly being the better team, as flowing moves through the midfield weren't going to happen due to the conditions. That said, our energy levels were excellent, which probably won us the points - we won so many second balls and interceptions I would have lost count (if I'd been counting in the first place!). The goal came from a bamboozling run by Salim on the left - my goodness his tight control is a thing of beauty to watch - that resulted in his cross getting a deflection towards Jon Page on the edge of the area, who got enough accuracy, if not so much power, in his volley to elude the defence and the goalkeeper. A classic "job done". We move on. As ever, Hampton was a very friendly venue - I enjoy going there.* *This conclusion may have been influenced by the fact I parked a few yards from the turnstiles when the area around the ground was in gridlock due to various road closures. And there were no trains either, due to engineering works. So a gate of nearly 1,000 was very creditable in the circumstances.
