According to the Club Twitter page, the Slough match tomorrow night WILL NOT BE REVERSED therefore, weather permitting,
we are at HOME 7-45 k.o.
What a faff!!!

Either arranging for the match officials to switch venues or Slough Council not playing ball at such short notice, I would guess

That’s 6 games in hand over Dartford 😂

I note the ref is from Bournemouth. Would he delegate pitch inspections to his assistants, from Aldersh*t and Woking to possibly save a wasted journey?

From the Slough website: We await news from
@farnboroughfc
on whether tonight's match will go ahead, and expect a final decision by around 3.30pm.

Slough have arranged a friendly for tonight.
So why couldn't the league match be switched???

Strange that they had this friendly match with Hanwell as 'a back up plan' according to their website?? So the pitch WAS available!!
No entry charge advertised so 'pay what you want' offered.
Curiouser and curiouser!!
Too bl***y cold for football anyway!

There's an interview with Spencer from earlier tonight. Our players were training on a pitch that he thought was perfectly playable.
Meanwhile the request to transfer the games was turned down because Slough BC could not guarantee replacing some broken floodlight bulbs.

So the match with Hanwell was played in semi darkness then??
But it was ready 'as a back up' anyway, according to their website!!
There appears to be a strong whiff of Bovine exhaust wafting from somewhere!!
Spencer said we were training on a pitch declared unfit by the Referee. I hope he enjoyed his trip from Bournemouth to Cherrywood to claim his expenses, when surely it could have been done by his two qualified assistants, from Aldershot and Woking, just as easily, and earlier, and probably cheaper!!!!
Having said that, we could still probably still train in the centre section of the pitch when the problems are in the corner, or by the main stand, so maybe my comments are out of line!!
I suspect an unwillingness to play from both sides here, for unknown or specified reasons, and quite frankly, in this weather who could blame them!!
Lets hope the weather gods relent and we can play on Saturday.
Finally, well done to our fantastic team of pitch workers and volunteers who worked their nuts off to get the game on, only to be thwarted in the end.
Well done one and all. I, and all supporters, really appreciate your efforts!! Thank you.

Thank you.I would just like to point out that the pitch inspection was not carried out by the match ref and he never traveled from Bournemouth, or collected any fees or expenses.
I can categorically state, that the Farnborough team wanted 100% to play the match.

Fair play.
Meanwhile ....
Will Slough end up playing in Brighton, or around Redhill?
