For a side that were second in the league at the beginning of today, I'm surprised at how little they seemed to offer. I'm struggling to understand how they have gone unbeaten for so long, particularly given their leaky defence that led to two of our goals! The other goal, scored by Pendlebury, was a monster of a free kick up and over the wall from 25 yards!
The Dartford fans seemed to produce some good noise with their drum, but they soon shut up after the first two goals, and drowned by the PRE boys, including the "Is there a fire drill?" chant when their supporters walked out early.
A good game. Some good goals. A brilliant performance in front of 712 fans.

Cracking game to watch and in putting 2 goals away in the first half hour we were able to just play the rest of the game on our own terms without fear or worry. The fact Darts hooked 2 players at halftime - one of whom being Charlie Sheringham - spoke volumes about the shift we put in first half and gave them not much of a sniff at goal! Dartford were never really in the game from the first whistle and as ever we should have been more ruthless in front of goal, which meant when Dartford got one back it got a bit nervy for a few minutes till that free-kick (one worthy of Nic who saw it from the stands ), which took the game away from Dartford in its entirety. Great performance, but boy did Dartford look less than ordinary!

In the words of Paul Weller, "That's entertainment!" Best game to watch since Sutton! I thought we might get a football lesson today but we played them off the park. Even at half time we feared a strike back, but we carried on doing what we do and got a well earned, if unexpected, 3 points. Thank F we didn't resort to parking the bus... That has to be our best back 4 - Ball, Robinson, Lokko, Norville-Williams. Dominated. And as for Oliver Pendlebeckham's goal.....! Up the Boro!

Great game - as has aready been said I expected more from Dartford. I loved the pressure that the Ollie Robinson long throws created - I saw two lovely flick ons , sadly not leading to a goal. As for MOTM I expect someone had a difficult decision to make. I thought it was a great TEAM effort.

My MotM today, by a country mile, was Sam Deering. He's been played out of position ever since he joined, and, yes, he's been decent or better when fielded out of position in defensive midfield. But today he finally played in the position where he does stuff, which is what he did. And he made it count.

You may need a translator to unpick his attempts at speaking English, but the Dartford manager isn't a happy bunny:-

Hmm, that was interesting this afternoon. At last, a team came to play football at our place instead of shutting up shop, But Dartford came a cropper, unlike Eastbourne last Tuesday, who played for and got a draw.
When a team tries to best us at playing, you know, actual football, we're as good as any team in this league. The oppo may be better on the day, so may we. The trick we have yet to learn is to get the points when the oppo are playing it tight. We're on a learning curve.
