Must have been Westley's time!!
What a result though!!!! We owed them that from a few seasons ago!
Jack will be furious about the non clean sheet.

Well done Boro. When were we last in the 4QR? Only the third time as Farnborough FC Lost 4-2 to Salisbury after 1-1 draw at Cheryywood Lost 5-0 to Dover after 1-1 draw at Cherrywood. Both under Steve King.

Well, that was a compare and contrast. We struggle with eleven against well-organised National South teams (see the single goal defeats for details), but, today, ten were more than good enough to emphatically see off a team that's 6th in SLP South.
It helped that the Supermarine keeper misread/didn't see a speculative ho-hum shot from Ricky Holmes that squirted underneath him to put us one up. Then Kevin Lokku showed our forwards how to finish with some tricksy stuff in the area followed by a well guided lob. Two of the other goals were scrambles, one from good play, the other from a set piece, but Freddie Grant's neat finish came from a very stylish move.
Top marks to Jordy Mongoy and Hisham Kisimu up-front after we went down to ten men, my goodness they worked hard, but my MotM by a country mile was Jon Page in midfield. Seeing him in pre-season I definitely was not a convert, but he was immense today. He was very, very good and I hope he continues this form into the matches ahead.
Two downsides though, Ricky Holmes took a heavy knock which I suspect will not be a short-term injury, while Olly Pendelbury, who'd been playing very well, took leave of his senses and launched himself into a studs high late tackle designed to wipe out his opponent just 30 minutes in. Instant red card and quite rightly too, in my opinion. *sigh* To end, full marks (again) for the quality of scoff on offer from the Supermarine tea bar. Last season, home-made chicken tikka masala. This season an enormous portion of a very tasty home-made chilli-con-carne and rice for £4. I doff my cap, and would be appreciative if, at home, we could lift our game beyond gruel burgers for top money. Our match-day food is still better than the disgusting stuff served at Woking I suppose, but that's not saying much. Plenty of room for improvement.
