Thanks Jules.
Cant seem to get over the line atm.
Not scoring puts added pressure on the defence and then it breaks :-(

Can't fault the effort, but we just aren't getting the breaks at the moment. After the pen was saved you just knew it was a 0-1 85th minute, ball in off someone's arse sort of night, and so it turned out!! Loanee striker looks lively, and did all right for his first game, as did Hish, but both well shackled by the huge defenders. Page and Pendlebury were both excellent in the first half but faded a bit in the second. Ferdinand, by contrast, when he came on, looked far off the pace and is struggling. For someone with 'fresh' legs and 15 mins to go it was poor. Ricky had his best game for some time, and was a constant target for the clarets, bringing about his injury substitution late on. Reggie?? now there's a conundrum, just what was his role?? RB? Sweeper? RMF? LMF? Right winger? Whatever it was he gave absolutely everything, and man of the match was between him and Ricky for sure. I can't help feeling he was wasted in some ways though. Freddie and Jordan both on the left hand side? Reggie made to defend? when he could have been running at their defence if we had Saturday's back four, or even Jack Ball at RB, but our leader knows best!! We are definitely slowly improving, and I'm sure the points will come eventually, but it's a bit gutting at the moment, we just can't buy a goal!! Maybe we will get something on Saturday?? and a Cup run beginning? COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

Great effort by all the lads tonight and very unlucky to come away without at least a point. I can only recall Chelmsford having one shot on target... We play some great moves but often let ourselves down with the final pass. If we could get weight and direction better to feet, rather than straight to defenders, I'm sure we'd unlock more goals. Welcomed the sight of Paul Hodges back warming up with the guys....

Unlucky to lose last night I thought it was a good performance from the lads. Unfortunately we lost late on but the boys should feel better about the performance compared to Saturday.
The new boy was looking decent would be interested to know how long we’ve got him on loan for as I didn’t see anything to announce it from the club.
On to Saturday and the fa cup and then cove on Tuesday where I’d imagine we will see players who haven’t had many minutes or been off form getting a chance and maybe some youngsters if we have any just to give the 1st team a break.

Twitter says we have Jordy for a month so, presumably, Wealdstone are not worried about him being cup tied, unless we are going to go with Ferdinand and Hish on Saturday!!
Tuesday is A HSC game, so almost certainly will be squad/u.23's, OR it could be a cup replay!!
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

Can't help but completely empathise with Spencer's frustration and emotional lookback at last nights result in his interview with Dom published today.
Bob's bingo thread needs a major update now!
Here's a thing that I struggle with though - Spencer makes the signings, Spencer picks the team, Spencer decides how we play, Spencer calls the substitutions...
Spencer is never critical of himself, nor does he question his own ability. It's like there's nothing for him to learn and instead the 'team' are always at fault.
"Not good-enough" and "Step-up" can apply to those not out there running their bo**ocks off too you know...
