Well, lets be generous and say that was a hangover from Tuesday night's heroics!! They looked absolutely knackered from the off.
St Albans knocked the ball around well but, in all honesty, didn't trouble Jack seriously once!!
It was all our own making. A silly penalty by Freddie and two stupid bookings for Michael. Omar was also lucky not to get a red for pushing the ball in to the oppo's face late on, just getting yellow.
Looked a bit better in the second half with Hish playing the lone Ranger, but it was always a difficult task with just 10.
Hope we can write it off as a bad office day, and make amends on Tuesday.

Unfortunately we are too often having a bad day at the office. For all Omar gives us I’m leaning more to we need to shift him as he’s going to spend more time this season in the stands than on the pitch at this rate. He seems to have an uncontrollable temper issue that unless dealt with is going to cost us. He’s already had 1 red and that’s now 2 more games where he was lucky to stay on.
As for a striker Hish is looking good but Ferdinand isn’t the answer, Spencer needs to go searching and pretty quick for a decent forward or we are going to struggle.
I know we’re only 9 games in but the gulf in class even against teams we should be looking at taking 3 points off is huge. Someone has to take the blame and things need to change, as it is I can’t see where our next 3 points are coming from.

Shocker of a first half, second half it looked like we had the man advantage but the unfortunate oggy sealed our fate. We absolutely were the architects of our own demise from a game we should have won against a very limited oppo… St. Albans are seasoned campaigners at this level and just negatived their way to the win via suckering is into a series of mistakes. As others have said we are repeatedly on the wrong side of the finest of margins - which will see us relegated by the finest of margins if we are not careful and wise-up quickly!

Lets see if there is a reaction to the better on Tuesday. If not then Spencer has some major decisions to make!!

Michael and Omar too juvenile in their all round attitude to playing football. Liam is not good enough. Wins very few balls and doesn't lose his markers. Bring Mitchell Parker back to play with Hish.

Looks like original contact is outside, to me! Still a risk heavy bit of defending that close to the box, especially when we're suffering from finemarginsitis.

As I said at half time earlier on in this post contact was outside and the player ran the extra yard before tumbling over the line but everyone else said it was a defo pen. You can see a blur at the back of the stand which is me so I had prime vantage point and am adamant it was outside. Some of the refereeing calls this season have been poor, I’m not saying they have all been bad but I’d say 75% of the games I’ve felt like we were not only playing against the other team but also against the ref. If it continues you do have to ask the question are the referee’s just terrible in this league or have they / the league got something against us.
This still doesn’t take away that we also haven’t been good enough and we need some signings who can /have played well at this level.

I genuinely don't think we can continuously be blaming the ref every game.
If the players can't adjust to or acknowledge what the ref is asking for then surely that's on us?! At this level, with the players we have we really should be able to adjust to things and wise up.
Personally don't think the ref was too bad yesterday, the red was definitely a red. We're our own worst nightmare sometimes
