Omar Rowe man of the match although I think Turner did it for me Completely agree Turner should have got man of the match, both halves he was forced in to making a double save on top of the ones he was making to keep us in it. As for the Omar goal I’m sure it was an OG, from where I was sat just behind the goal there’s no way he could of scored from the angle he was at but I’ll take the goals wherever and whoever scored them. Up to 11th and playing top of the table Saturday, it’s going to be a tough game.

And here comes the Nigel L, a.k.a Admin, player scores for the first time since ... a very long time.
TURNER (9) My MotM. Athletic, commanding, tidy and, above all, good decision making. Enough said.
Ball (7) Learning his trade at this level and did ok. A top tip though, other team members need to move fast to offer an easy pass when the ball is rolled out to him.
Robinson (6) I didn't really notice him, which is a good thing. Quietly got on with the job. Subbed due to injury.
Lokko (8) A class above what we've been used to. No fuss, no drama, just very good defending.
Deering (6) Energetic as ever, but made to look like a charlie when playing passes that Southern League-standard team-mates simply didn't understand, let alone moved for. Either they need to go up the learning curve or he has to change his approach.
Young (7) A very solid performance in a wing-back role. He's got his zip and pace back when taking on the oppo and his defensive positioning is improving.
Norville-Williams (6) Another looking to cement his place at this level. Got caught out a few times, just like at Hemel (which resulted in their winner), and was slow to recover when possession was lost upfield. But there was plenty of good stuff too. If he works on the good and eliminates the not so good he'll be fine.
Davis (7) Worked extremely hard to stop the midfield from collapsing when every 50/50 further forward resulted in Taunton regaining possession. Not a pretty performance, but an effective one.
Rowe (4 first half, 6 second half) Created the goal when he finally did what he's good at and generally looked more composed in the second half. But, please, no repeat of the first half performance, when he looked totally lost and put his teammates needlessly under pressure. Very much a work in progress.
Lee/Parker (a very generous 5) Not a front pair in a million years. Fielding them together just accentuated their negative points with zero team benefit in return. Just no. One of them had to go and it was Parker who drew the short straw. Lee looked far more comfortable after the change. I daresay Parker would have been more comfortable too. While both were on the pitch the Taunton centre-backs had set up a barbeque and were nattering about their plans to visit the beach this weekend. (I jest, slightly).
The subs ....
Fearn (7) On for Robinson. Very solid as usual and his good decision-making is a big plus at this level. Not the quickest, but reading situations quickly and accurately counts for just as much, if not more.
Kasimu (6)
On for Parker. Added much-needed muscle and agility to the frontline. Although another that is very much a work in progress, he succeeded in getting Taunton's centre-backs to pack up the barbeque and to stop nattering about their plans for the weekend.
Fernandes (7) On for Deering. I've no idea why Michael wasn't started against a defence that lacks pace (a knock maybe?). He knows how to score against Taunton and scared the proverbial out of them in his short time on the pitch.

Agree with most of that Nigel.
I really like Tony Lee, a good old fashioned battering ram centre forward, that scares the s*** out of defenders when he hustles and bustles. The pairing of him and Mitch could be a good one, if time allows them to settle together, but we ain't gonna get that time in this League!! Saturday will test that to the limit for sure.
Maybe it should be Lee and Ferdinand, with Hish coming on late as an impact sub for one of them!
Injuries from last night could have a bearing right across the team as well, Lee, Robbo, and Reggie all limping off, so attitudes will have to be right if we are to get anything from Stonebridge road!!
Robbo is a worry, for his pairing with Lokko has been one of the really strong parts of the team this season, and I'm sure it gives Turner even greater confidence with what's in front of him.
Sam isn't the same player without his mate Ricky beside him, but still has that killer pass in him, if others read it!! Wonder if Ricky will be out there on Saturday?
A tough test for sure, but for once we don't buckle like we used to!! (That's the kiss of death on that then!!!)
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for the return of the detailed player ratings.
Hopefully you can find time to do this again.
Cheers
