Jordon norville-Williams was at Hayes am assuming he has been released.
20mins in so far and he has had a good game so far looks confident on the left and is getting forward and back to defend well.

Is Norville-Williams a trialist?
Who’s Jon Page?

Is Norville-Williams a trialist? Who’s Jon Page? If he is then he’s worth signing up he’s been top class today.

I think Page is on a season long loan from Fulham.

We don't name trialists so presumably Norville-Williams had been signed. In the interview last week Spencer said he'd be looking at new signings due to injuries.
Would guess that he's been on trial elsewhere.

Norville Williams I'm told has signed and as he is under 24 the fee will be decided by tribunal. Also noticed an interesting spectator in the main stand the currently suspended by his club poole Centre forward Tony Lee

Wonder why he was suspended by his Club Ginger?? Loads of baggage to that one I think, lets steer clear!
As for today, I really enjoyed it and the addition of Jordan at no 16 LB/LMF really proved a hit with all and sundry.
If he has signed, then that's a great capture! Man of the match for me today.
When Bally came on at rb and Jordan left, in the second half, the back four looked so much stronger.
Shout again for Lokko and Robbo at CBs, getting tighter and stronger every game.
Michael had one of his better games, as did Omar, and Liam up front with ever present Reggie.
Lost a bit of shape when Ricky went off, leaving Sam to do a lot of the work, but he coped as Sam can, with able assistance from young Page, Salim and Hish, who is going to terrorise some defences if used as an impact sub.
All in all a pretty good effort against a National League side in Maidenhead who, quite frankly, looked pretty ordinary.
If they can't step up they are in for a very long season!!!!!!!
Didn't hear Spencer's early radio interview. Did he mention anything re Hodge, Mitch, Pag, Kenny, Freddie, Frankie, or Ade's injury?
Said he was going to dual register some players, so maybe that's what is happening?

Mitch has been given some time off for personal reasons, Pag has gone on dual reg to Leatherhead, Adam Martin has gone on dual reg to Kingstonian, Ade is out for 6-8 weeks, Hodgey was on holiday, Frankie has signed elsewhere.

Thanks for that Duggy.
Shame if we do lose Paul to Hayes and Yeading, and good luck to him if he does make it. Maybe there was a swop deal with him and Jordan?? who knows? He's also a school teacher, so I expected him to take holidays when the kids are off too!
Not sure Pag, Frankie and Adam were going to figure regularly either. All decent enough players though, and hope they all do well and may well be back with dual reg!!
Good to see Freddie running around before the game, and lets hope he is back soon too!

Some players struggle in pre-season games and management attitudes and decisions may vary. Of course a totally established player will be given slack, but for others, not so much. As always, the essential question for any management team is what value does this or that player add to what we need compared with what others in the squad or triallists can deliver within a limited budget? That's where management comes in.
From what I've seen pre-season (I missed the Dulwich and Corinthian Casuals games), there have been well-regarded players struggling to reach beyond Southern League level. Which means, to put it plainly, they'd struggle to establish themselves in National South. So, best for all concerned that realities are faced sooner rather than later. Management could well get some calls wrong, but they live in the here and now. There are six league games before August is out, so 18 points are at stake, and we are in a results business.

Was the Trialist #10 a new one or the guy who's already played in a fee friendlies?

A lot of good sensible comments in this thread and a very positive vibe about the squad. I too would be sad to see Hodgey go as he has the ability to lay off a killer pass that can win games and has an instinct for scoring himself. But, lots of competition in that area now... We do need cover for any injuries to Ricky though as our midfield control changed for the poorer when he came off and supply to Reggie down the right virtually dried up. Michael played well, hit the bar and worked hard. I do feel that his need to take one or two extra fancy footwork touches means he looses possession frustratingly often and it's noticeable how easily bigger defenders bump him off the ball. We'll have to wait and see if he' physically big and strong enough as he can't jink to avoid contact in the way Reggie does. For me, Jon Page also looks a bit too light to fight midfield battles. Hish looks fast, hungry and naturally capable. A really exciting prospect who's desire for goals will be driven by the experience of having previously slotted 30 in a season.. What do we do with CJ - general utility defender/midfielder? 100% effort always but perhaps outclassed by those around him (see J N-W who was superb) to now make the starting line up regularly. A move might do him good... Final ramble from me, thank God we got Jack when Liam left. Great saves again and a points winner, without doubt!
