Just seen a Club statement given out, following earlier warnings, that they are now in a position of "managed closure", whatever that actually means, but I guess it's another case of the grim reaper knocking on the door.
Doesn't look good for 2022/23 for them.
Very sad to hear of any Club getting in to difficulties, and our best wishes go to all players and officials for their future in the game.
Some decent players and Management there, and I'm sure they will all get fixed up with other Clubs.
Good luck Casuals.

The problem was that they had a very well run social club at their previous ground (its under the athletics track), all that income went as it is now run by Excel Hub and all bar takings, tea bar goes to them. There is very little advertising in the ground, so their only income from that is the matchday programme. Their only income is from gate receipts and programmes / souvenirs
Walton & Hersham were getting bigger crowds in Step 6, 2 years ago and they have had various Friday night games at the ground with the attendance close to 400 on at least 3 occasions.
So, who gets the reprieve and what happens. Next in line would be Leatherhead and to make it easy, they could be done as a straight swap.

That swap sounds a sensible option, but would Casuals have to play somewhere else if they can't manage the current stadium which is also shared with Walton and Hersham. Wonder how it affects them. Sad times for both Clubs really. Is a merger on the cards?

Apparently w&H are in a better position. Anothet issue for Casuals was Apparently that their youth set up jumped ship joined up with W&H.

Merthyr Town reprieved back to SLS Cinderford Town reprieved back SLDiv1S
Leatherhead not happy as they would have been next in line for a reprieve, but this has been done as in house voluntary relegation, so everybody would move up 1 place and Walton placed below Wimborne.
