This is not exactly a surprise given yesterday's news! (see the Southern League fixtures thread for details).

So how many spectators are allowed in? Is it 15% and both home and away fans?

So how many spectators are allowed in? Is it 15% and both home and away fans? If the Woking game is the first home game under the new regulations (which I believe it will be) it will be classified as a Stage 1 fixture restricted to 300 spectators. If there are no issues the Basingstoke game will be classified as Stage 2 = up to 600 spectators. The Club has yet to make clear how attendance numbers will be controlled although match tickets can be purchased online in advance, which will help to gauge numbers. The Stage 2 capacity limit is not expected to be reviewed upwards by the Government until October at the earliest. If the same %age of minimum required capacity is also applied to Step 1 and 2 clubs (spectators aren't yet allowed at these "Elite" levels) then the restricted capacities for Conf Nat and Conf Regional clubs would be 1,200 and 900 respectively. For the avoidance of doubt, the FA's guidance permits Step 3 and below clubs to host games with Step 2 or higher clubs with spectators present.

If the Woking game has a 300 spectator limit, and it's possible that this limit could be reached as it's Woking, then I would suggest that it is ticket bought in advance ONLY, and the track and trace situation could be controlled, prior to arriving, by that method!
Just a thought!

I'm pretty sure numbers around 300 are reached on a regular matchday, aren't they? Surely tickets are going to be sold out quite quickly as people will just want to get back to watching football (be it friendly or not). A lot to consider still yet regarding half time, 50/50, toilets, seating etc.

Ah, but the Club has a cunning plan. A home friendly with Leatherhead has now been arranged for 2 September, which will now be our Step 1 (max. capacity 300) game. So, all being well, the capacity for Woking will be 600.

I am going to New Milton v Poole on Saturday as much to see how it’s done as wanting a football fix. Hopefully will be pleasantly surprised.
