Just seen, this has been cancelled , as Taunton were unable to raise a Team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or was it the cost of travelling all that way for a pointless match?  ? Can't say I blame them! So who gets the massive shield to keep clean? |

Apparently Taunton players refused to play as their contracts had expired and wouldn't be paid for a meaningless game

So is it pointless to have a chance of getting your name on the shield that has so much history, previous winners include Tottenham and Milwall. It was on the fixture list at the start of the season. It was minuted at the AGM. It's before the playoff final, so would their contracts have expired before that if they'd been in it?
This surely is serious misconduct worthy of punishment???

Definitely not a pointless game to add the name of the club to that historic shield.
We are lucky enough to be in there 3 times already, sadly Taunton won't have the chance.
I also think its funny that the players contracts are up. What if they had got to the FA Trophy final?

I thought footy contracts normally ran to 1st June or 'end of the football season'?
