So how come all the players media and staff tickets came from our side of the "50/50" split?

I can understand players & club officials tickets counting against the total - but ‘media’ should not count against attendance figures as they are in the stadium working in an official capacity, as by that rationale those people working behind the bar, all the stewards and the ground staff etc. would also be counting for the attendance!.. You can understand Hayes are using ‘dark arts’ to slightly swerve the crowd in their favour, however I’m sure the 690 of us can make more noise and make it feel like a home match rather than an away tie.
With the club shifting ALL the allocation in 2 hours, it speaks volumes that there’s a definite interest in watching the club beyond the core 300 regulars. Fingers’ crossed our most successful season in many a year encourages a few more to come along more frequently next season, especially if we keep playing the same brand of footy as we have this season - hopefully with a bit more of a ruthless streak in front of goal so we don’t end-up with such an inferior goal difference to our competition.
Bring on Monday!

I think an urgent meeting of the Ofsted Mathematical Standards Committee is needed fairly urgently somewhere!!
1600 to be split 50/50 = 800/690/110?? I think not!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for being open about this. 800 tickets never meant 800 tickets on general sale, particularly when we're playing away.
I, for one, amongst many others, recall how Farnborough's ticket allocation was distributed in the FA Cup game v Arsenal. That wasn't a pretty sight. But Westley couldn't care less as he'd got his next job, at Stevenage, anyway (announced on the Monday after the game). That still grates, which is one of (many) reasons why longer term supporters, such as myself, still find it difficult to take any statement from the Club at face value. Particularly as we've been fed plenty of self-serving bullsh*t since then.
The way I look at it, the Club still needs to work hard to win back our trust. Meanwhile, many more have decided to do something else on Saturday afternoons, which is why our gates are very low given our catchment area.

You seem to think we made up the 800/800 split? That's what the Hayes announcement said, and what they told us. We were given 790 tickets on Friday afternoon and told to hold back 100. I presumed Hayes were holding back 100 too. It seems that this wasn't what happened, and both sets of players, plus any Hayes staff on the day, and all the media (we requested 5) have come out of the spare 110, rather than be split between the two clubs. However, they earned the right to be at home, and this way is better than making the journey, only to be turned away at the turnstile, plus we didn't have any choice in the matter. If you choose not to believe the club statements, then that's your choice.

I'm not criticising the ticket allocation, far from it. Which is why I thanked you for being open about it.
I was recalling Graham Westley's shenanigans over the Arsenal tickets and how there has been a pattern of misleading announcements being made to fans that badly eroded trust. I'm glad to say matters have much improved in recent years.

So, allegedly, what Hayes said, and what they actually did are not totally accurate?? They are reporting on their website to have SOLD 800 tickets!! Wonder what the announced attendance will be?? Where's my 'magic' calculator? ? I smell some right old shenanigans going on here all round! They have succeeded on one thing though... winding everyone at Farnborough right up!!! One answer..........GO UP THERE AND STUFF EM!!! COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

Exactly the same thing happened with Eastleigh in the HSC final. Could've been neutral. Could've been on a better date. But we won anyway. Let's put all of this at the back of our minds and play to the best of our ability. We are capable. LETS DO THIS YOU YELLOWS!!!!
