If worse comes to the worse and we don't get through the play offs who could we play? I see Bracknell FC, with a big money backer, won their league about a month ago (South Central) and Chertsey could come up via the play offs from the same league. What other leagues feed into this one?
Probably Plymouth Parkway or Frome from Southern League South. Bracknell may go to the Central section and Chertsey could go Isthmian, although they aren't that far from Walton and the Police so could still come this way!!
Lets worry about that next week eh? I t might not even concern us??
The correct terms that are now used is Promotion to Step 2 or 3 or 4. There is no define right to say what division you will be in. You don't have to be a member of Mensa to know that if you are Margate, you will always be in the Isthmian League fold.
Where you need to start is the outermost boundaries of the UK coast. The Northern League starts at the top and takes the first 22 South. The isthmian league begins in Kent and you take the first 22 Eastwards, including those in Essex. Southern League West starts in Cornwall and takes the next 22, leaving the Southern Central the remaining 22.
Bracknell Town and Chertsey Town would both play in The Southern Premier South next season, if both were to be promoted. There is no way that either would fit into either of the other leagues. Remember that there are two other feeders in the South, Isthmian North and Isthmian South. Hastings & one other, Aveley and one other would automatically fit into Isthmian Premier. Also that Chesham, Hendon, Harrow, Hayes, Beaconsfield, Kings Langley, Walton and Police are all further east than Bracknell or Chertsey.
Southern Prem Central would be the one that has strange happenings because I believe that Lowestoft Town would be placed in Isthmian North, the other side Biggleswade Town would go to Southern Div 1 Central.
Southern Div 1 West would be straightforward with Parkway & one other going into Southern Premier.
Only 1 relegation place in the Conference South this season which means that of the current bottom six (Welling, Braintree, Billericay, Tonbridge, Chelmsford or Bath) only 1 would go to Southern League Prem South. More than likely it will one of the Eastern sides that comes down, this could mean a lateral transfer for another club. That could be Corinthian Casuals.
Kingstonian's groundshare at Casuals ended on Monday and they will be going to Tooting & Mitcham, which puts them further to the east.
Tom has mentioned above about what league feeds into SLP South. It is not always guaranteed that will happen. If a team like South Park (Reigate) won ILDiv1C, they would be placed in Isthmian Premier.
