Firstly a brilliant well done to everyone at the Club for a wonderful season of football. To finish in the top three is a fantastic achievement, that we would have bitten you hand off for, if offered in August, and we should all hold out a hand in thanks to Spencer and his team for all the hard work so far!
It isn't all over yet though, and on to the last game, with still permutations to play for.
Do we take a full strength side to Taunton, give them a right old battle knowing, that even if we beat them we can't overtake due to GD unless its 0-6 to us? That would let in Hayes if they beat Hartley! Do we take a squad side, bearing in mind the play off match a few days later, thereby incurring the wrath of Hayes, if we get dumped? What if Hartley do us a favour and beat Hayes anyway? We still finish third on GD, or second if we win?
Big choices for Spencer, but what would you do?
Either way it's been brilliant, and more to come. Roll on the 26th. Will it be Police or Weston at home?
I hope it's Weston as that would mean we have finished 2nd and will be at home for the final if we win!!!!!!!!
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!!

You’re right. Essentially we are third no matter what barring immensely unlikely outcomes - we are guaranteed a homer v the Met who we know well from all our meetings and would fancy our chances… Taunton only need to not lose to guarantee the title, so doubt they will be pulling up trees to win, rather will be defensive instead rather than risk it.
I would be tempted to be starting a few subs and looking at the Met game and you never know. Hayes may lose to a fired-up Weston meaning if we were to beat the Met we would be at hone against them in the final… Hope springs eternal!

So many things out of our control. I fear Taunton are good enough and so up for it that they can beat us at home regardless of whether we send our strongest side or rest key players for next Tuesday. We don't have the same motivation as a win could see us stay in 3rd. For those reasons, I don't buy into argument that we'd be handing the title to them at H&Y's expense. This is a competition and it's every club for itself. Send the boys, avoid injuries and focus on the playoffs. That way we could still get promoted!

Don't forget that Chesham are still sitting one point behind Weston at the moment with Saturday to come??
Chesham at home to relegated Wimborne and Weston at home to Harrow, both winnable ties!
Yes, I agree that it looks highly unlikely we finish anywhere other than 3rd.
If we manage to turn over Taunton, then Hayes will win the League whether they beat Hartley or not. If not then they, or Taunton, host Weston or Chesham in the play off and, potentially us or Police in the final!!
If Hayes lose their play off then we, highest finisher, could host the final v Weston or Chesham!!
So many computations, my brain hurts!!

If we manage to turn over Taunton, then Hayes will win the League whether they beat Hartley or not. Not quite Bob. To win on goal difference Hayes need to beat Hartley to match Taunton on points, if we beat them. My head hurts too!

Hayes are +61 goals to Taunton +40 goals, so a Taunton loss means Hayes win. Ideally Taunton need a point.

Taunton are on 88 points Hayes are on 85 points Hayes need to beat Hartley and Taunton need to avoid losing to us to win the league. If we beat Taunton and Hayes beat Hartley then Hayes will win the league on goal difference

I am still deciding if I should go support Hartley for the day as I can’t make Taunton I thought go cheer on HW to win and hope the boro can beat Taunton by 6 goals.
