Disagree with MOTM - Parker showed why he should have been playing as soon as he was available but Jack was the reason we won today with some worldies - by comparison the Hartley keeper never had a save to make yet let 2 in! I agree, taking absolutely nothing away from Mitch, thought once again he showed why he should be starting, always a class work rate but Jack kept us in the game, made Atleast 5 top class saves today. Well done boys! Onto next week |

Well done boys! Onto next week Maybe we should sometimes present two MOTM awards! Jack was brilliant. His stop down to his right at the bottom of the post from the overhead kick showed great reflexes. His dive across to his left in the second half was spectacular, especially given he had very little time to pull the save off! As well as showing the monthly 'Goals' videos, I'd like to call out for replays of Jack's finest saves! Just one thing Jack, please stop kicking the ball to the tallest defender as it's very frustrating seeing them win it time and time again... Was better when Pratty came on and moved away from him... And, what a difference to have an actual striker start at no.9! Hats off to Mitchell for a strong performance and making his own luck for the 1st goal. Welcome back fella! Shout outs too to Pratty who won nearly every header and created a great chance for him, or Mitchell, despite them fluffing it (!), to Reggie for introducing some electricity into the final 10 minutes and winning the pen, and to John O for rightfully winning Player of the Season. Jack Ball put in a decent shift too... If it wasn't for one or two bad games we'd have won this league. But at least we have home advantage for the first playoff match. |
