I assume we’re starting more or less from scratch next season.
By my reckoning the only players who haven’t been confirmed as leaving are CJ, Leggett, Oyenuga, Paget, Assidjo, Blake, Emmanuel, Cullen and Miller. And some of those weren’t exactly regulars.

Agree.. Think after the last two seasons, I reckon we will be looking for a whole new squad for the coming season We didn't look remotely competitive at the level in the few matches that were played last season, so big changes are necessary. The trick of course being to change for the better. We'll find out soon enough.

Hardly surprising that players will be looking for commitments over the next couple of months and, like most Clubs at this level and lower, finance is going to be the major factor as always!
So we get a completely new squad and start again? Nothing new there, but the important thing is that we get some football, whatever standard!!, and the Club comes alive again!!
I'm sure most others will be in the same position as us. It's footie lets enjoy it!!! It's been a long time!
Roll on July for the psf's.

Agree, but it would be nice to win something, anything after the last few seasons. Let's also hope Spencer can find a good regular keeper and a good big central defender to commence the season, with the exception of Liam last season these areas have been a weak spot of his teams.

Yes Liam was a great find, and we were really lucky to keep him for so long. Finding a replacement, and a central defender, who can command the box, are probably on everyone's shopping list!! But when the demand is high, so is the cost!!
The football world, outside of fantasy island, is now going to be a very different place I fear, so lets just go with the flow and see what happens.
We've all learned that there are far more important things than winning a football match, or a League or cup!
The great Bill Shankley once said that football was more than a matter of life and death, he was wrong!!

There were many players that we had on loan or bought that definitely deserved higher level football like Beachy or Reggie, and it was good seeing them play as they put in very strong performances game after game. The difficult thing is finding an equivalent.
I just hope Spencer doesn't become stubborn with his tactics and player choices. But that's probably asking too much.

I haven't always been one of Spencer's greatest fans as is well known, but even I can understand the financial restraints of running a Club at our level, and what that puts upon player availability and procurement. Everything is controlled by cash available.
The biggest gripe from supporters was the constant going on about it. We all know it, we all understand it. We have to live with it!!
The other answer is to throw huge wads of cash at it by some sugar daddy, and we all know where that leads us, we have more tee shirts than most don't we??
To be fair though, the last season and a half, were pretty enjoyable overall I thought, and that has to be down to Spencer's contacts which have brought in some fairly decent players, who have done their best, and were beginning to show some good progress before everything blew up in our face with the stop start, and eventual closure of the seasons.
So yes I'm disappointed that the likes of Liam, Louise, Brian Akongo and Reggie etc have moved on, but I'm equally confident that there will be others arriving who could do just as good a job.
I know that there will be an absolute avalanche of players moving down the scale from EFL, and National Leagues when Clubs realise how much the lack of customers has cost them, and start to cut back to re-coupe it.
