All being well, and player fitness, my moneys on Boxing Day, at Home to Hartley, Rich. I'll bring the mince pies!!
Sounds like the stadium limit has been lifted as well, 50% of capacity, up to 4000 limit, according to BBC Sport, for those that believe the BBC!!
All subject to distancing of course! Not that that will affect us to much.

Unless this area is put in Tier 3 (far more likely to be Tier 2, in my opinion) organised sport can resume next week so I'm not sure where the 24 day gap before resuming games comes from?
Normally we play pre-season friendlies within a few days of resuming training following a 2 month summer break and I suspect many players will have been maintaining their general fitness levels during this shorter break. More fool those who haven't been doing this.

Nigel, even if we are in tier 2, there is a 2000 capacity limit for that level, which is still fine by us, but my figuring of the next match is due to, in Spencer's words, two weeks of fairly hard training, one possible? friendly, which could be away, before the League re-commences on the 12th. That is a blank Saturday for us, but could? be filled by the Chesham game, and then away to Truro on the 19th. So therefore making, I reckon, the Hartley Witney game the first home game possibly. Much could change before then of course. Lets hope the players have done as you suggest!

Start playing as soon as possible. Most people know that there was no need to lockdown the entire south of England.
Games on 5th December could go ahead as The FA Vase is playing that day along with many Step 5 leagues.
All I see form the Manager is constant whinging. We will need two weeks to get fit, surely the players haven't been over indulging this early.
The home game with Chesham can be put in by the league (if they had any Bollocks) for December 12th, then a game could be rearranged for Tuesday 15th / Wednesday 16th. In fact Why not put another game on Tue 22nd / Wed 23rd. Monday 28th week is also free.
FA Trophy games on Tuesday 8th, next round Tuesday 15th then Saturday 19th. Now if Truro beat Moneyfields (5/12) then win the next round then the jaunt to Cornwall will not be happening, there fore another Saturday missed.
Interesting point though. If a team is in Tier 3, can they play away to a team in Tier 1?

If a team is in Tier 3, can they play away to a team in Tier 1? The Government hasn't got down to the level of granularity required to cover all eventualities, which isn't too surprising as it has a lot on its plate at the moment. If the two clubs concerned are Step 2 or above then the answer is yes as they are "Elite" and have clear dispensation to continue playing. There are several difficulties for Step 3+ clubs:- The remaining Step 3 or below clubs still in the FA's competitions. Camberley Town Youth may well be in this position in the FA Youth Cup as they're due to play at Bristol Rovers on 16 December. The current COVID-19 infection rate in Bristol is roughly 3x the rate in Camberley so Bristol could be put into Tier 3 later this week, but Rovers are "Elite" so they can play, but can Camberley play them? Tricky. League matches between Step 3+ sides. Presumably the games would have to be postponed until later in the season, as any team located in a Tier 3 area wouldn't be permitted to play at home or away due to Tier 3 travel restrictions. To make matters even more interesting, would a Step 3+ team from a Tier 1 or 2 area playing a match in a Tier 1 or 2 area (so far, so good) be permitted to field a player who happens to live in a Tier 3 area? Would that player be permitted to train with his teammates? Yikes! This could seriously impact a club's ability to field a competitive team. I would be very surprised if the FA and the Step 3+ competitions aren't urgently seeking clarification from the Government on these issues. NOTE: Edited for clarity as I got the Tier numbers arse about face.

I'm sure/hope that the players haven't been over indulging, and hopefully have kept up a degree of personal fitness.
What hasn't happened obviously, is the team/squad/coaching/management interaction and training, which takes a couple of weeks to get up to speed.
Back on the 3rd Dec and in to a game on the 12th, or earlier, is asking for a raft of injuries, which no one wants.
As for Clubs in Tier 1? surely they would be restricted from travel, I believe, outside their tier and, conversely, it would not be right for Clubs from other tiers to travel in to that zone, and matches would have to be postponed.
I can't see visiting supporters being allowed either, unless we suddenly get loads of new groundhoppers close to the home Club, ala us v Tonbridge!!
Truro beating Moneyfields would be a bonus as far as I'm concerned!! Truro away on the Saturday before Christmas is utter madness!

Teams are coming back for the 5th December, I haven't seen them complain on social media about having a practice before starting playing again. We need to just get on with. Luckily, Boro aren't in the FA Trophy as Spencer doesn't like cup competitions lasting to long otherwise we would be playing on the 8th/9th in that competition.
As for Truro away, have to played sometime, better a Saturday.

No surprise, we've been placed in Tier 2 and can resume playing.
Intriguingly, take away alcohol sales are permitted in Tier 2, as are alcohol sales with a substantial meal. So, a pie and chips and a pint from the tea bar then?
More seriously, two clubs in our division are in Tier 3 areas - Weston-super-Mare (North Somerset) and Yate (South Gloucestershire). I'm not sure if they will be allowed to resume (or if they would want to as no spectators would be permitted at their home games). No doubt the FA and the affected leagues will be having discussions ....

Wouldn't want to be sorting out the logistics and rules for this, I can barely get my head around the normal rules, let alone the ones laid out for football!

Apparently the govt have confirmed that a pasty and chips would be considered to be a substantial meal. It's been alleged a pasty and chips qualifies as a mere snack for some supporters. *ducks for cover*

I don't see how Ollie Bayliss can make that statement when nothing official has come form the Leagues or FA yet. Government say that up to 2000, or 50% of capacity can attend in tier 2, which I can assume overrides the original 600 limit for step 3 downwards!
Either way our needs at Cherrywood Road are well catered for, it but we need to wait for the official announcements first.
Just glad to see some light at the end of the tunnel, although how long it will glow for is anyone's guess!
Wish they wouldn't keep turning the damn lights on and off though I'm getting a headache but then, considering what some poor soles are going through, what have I got to worry about??
