With elite sport exempted from the lockdown, ours is the first tier not to be, so it looks likely there will be a 4 week break from Thursday.
The league is going to consult with member clubs about how to finish the season should any more lockdowns occur. With points per game being the most likely outcome, our stellar start to the season could really wreak havoc for us and leave us hoping they just declare it void.

Spencer said many times that he didn't think they'd be playing for much longer, so I guess he didn't feel motivated to get the right results, therefore having a knock on effect on the morale of the players and their performances. PPG would be an awful outcome definitely, so we either finish the season late (that would be if there are no more lockdowns) or null and void the season. Those would be the best two outcomes from our perspective.

Actually getting on with it has been an option, and may well be in the future too.

I don't recall hearing anything re 'the rule of 6'? Does it still exist?
I know the rule of not visiting each others houses and the rule of meeting one other in an outdoor situation. Does that negate the rule of six? If not then it may well be ok to continue at step 3 and lower as we have been. At least we are all outside!!
I notice that golf has been cancelled too, and that just doesn't make sense!! At best that is a four ball game, and as normal its a one v one in the wide open spaces of a golf course, where players are naturally more than two metres apart and, when I thrashed around a while back, we were sometimes thirty or forty metres apart while I searched the jungle for the ball!!
At least we will get a game in on Wednesday! Lets make the most of it and increase our PPG, just in case eh? At the moment ours is .5 !!! Worrying!!

I'll keep this simple. For as long as we are allowed to play football matches, we should do our best to secure three points in the league, or a win in a cup competition (it's called competitive sport; winners and losers and all that).
This is not hard to understand.
Now, if anyone involved doesn't fancy it, then that's fine too. But, if they are not in the right place to partake, then it's for the best they withdraw and let others get on with it.

Yes, I agree Nigel, and until the governing bodies deem otherwise we should continue as before.
The problem of willingness and motivation, at all levels, is another matter entirely though!!
Still, the plastic PL will continue, so that's all right then eh?!! Good for them.
On a side note, and a more upbeat item, I read in the NLP today that many level 3 and below Clubs are experiencing greatly increased attendances, and benefiting from League Clubs fans looking for games.
Many Clubs are reporting sell out crowds by ticket sales, which can only be good in the long term. Lets hope many of those supporters see the light and remain in the 'real world' of non league football.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic we regret to inform you that POOLE TOWN V FARNBOROUGH TOWN at Black Gold Stadium, Poole on 07/11/2020 is cancelled and will not be rescheduled. I wouldn't read much into it. Calling it a "cancellation" may be to facilitate an automatic refund. Different rules can apply to a "postponement", where a refund is more likely to be processed on request only i.e. if the rescheduled date is not convenient for you to go to the game. As Poole are in no position to reschedule the fixture at the moment the cancellation option is more sensible and avoids any argument.

That is what I assumed too, Nigel, but just seemed full of foreboding and in line with my depressed mood. All these local games I was going to see!
And yes, folks, I know there are more important things to be worried about...😷
