Final score Hampton 1 Farnborough 1 Thanks Jules. From the number of chances it sounds like we had (including the pen, obviously) it would have been a travesty for us to lose. A good point. Now we just need some strikers beyond Ghandor to step up with the goals in future...

Hampton commentary here:- The penalty save can be viewed at 1:15:25. I've seen better penalties!

I think it would probably be a stretch to say we should have won but it would have been a travesty if we'd lost. I think they had one shot on target, the goal. They only started trying again after we'd equalised in the 92nd minute. Surprised how poor they were.
We never stopped trying and deserved the equaliser for the effort but final ball was pretty poor constantly. Can't help but feel, as much as I like Penders and Kuhl, we're lacking something in midfield. It can be a ponderous. Only really got moving when Jordan marauded forward. Hady is different class but the partnership isn't clicking yet with Bradders. If the service was better we might have send them have more chances and then we might have won.

Couldn’t get to the game today but was watching / listening to the commentary. Sounded like we were all over them and maybe should of won.
Can’t really feel bad about the missed penalty Khul has been deadly from the spot so got to allow the odd missed one.
Anyone know where Bloomfield was today for them was suprised to not see him in the team.

Disagree, we were definitely the dominant team throughout. I wasn’t counting but we must have had about 15 corners in comparison to their 4 or 5, and at more frequent intervals than normal we got the ball down and played today, getting in to dangerous positions regularly. I agree there was a lack of quality in the final ball and costly wrong decisions were made on a couple of occasions but I haven’t seen us play that well overall in quite some time, so a pleasing watch considering it was at Hampton who are a decent side this year. I wonder if Selim might have been able to unlock the door and how long he’ll stay on the naughty step for! I was surprised he didn’t replace Ricky when he went off injured but on that note I have to say Taylor Clark had a great game and was very impressive. He will be getting more minutes if he can keep that performance level up. The penalty wasn’t great but let’s cut Aaron some slack, he was bound to miss one eventually and when you go down the middle that’s the risk you take, with hindsight I bet he wishes he’d gone top corner like his un-saveable pen last weekend. We really do need to see if we can get Hady on a permanent deal, he worked tirelessly again and was a constant threat. He seems to find a way to score more often than not, even with minimal service. Natural goal scorer and definitely think theres more to come from him as well. Harvey again flattered to deceive, a few nice touches but again didn’t win anything in the air. I will say though he grew on me today just for his constant shithousary toward the hugely irritating Hampton goalkeeper.

the hugely irritating Hampton goalkeeper.
You could say that his protracted stay on the ground to tend an 'injury', which was about five minutes, led to the ref adding six minutes and we scored in 90+2, so if he hadn't faffed around for so long they would have won!! Also, for spitting at the Boro supporters twice as well, he deserved to get done. And he spilled the shot for Hady to gobble up!! Thanks very much mate.
The fact he got Man of the Match for them proved how dominant we were.
Great effort lads which deserved a lot more. Excellent point.
Glad you got down from all that scaffolding Dom!! Hope you didn't get nose bleed up there!!
I do wonder though that, if they ever managed to win the play offs, how that ground could ever qualify for the National??
Oh well, on to Tuesday and Chelmsford at home, who 'ahem' beat Yeovil today!!
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

I will say though he grew on me today just for his constant shithousary toward the hugely irritating Hampton goalkeeper. We were certainly dominant. I'm sure the stats will say we had way more posession but I think their keeper got MOTM, 1.for the penalty save and 2.for claiming corners and crosses. Virtually every shot was basically straight at him, ironically he then spilled the last one. We kept the ball down and passed it much better than we have for a while so that was definitely an improvement. Just felt we were missing something. Ricky probably. Cutting edge isn't there but we have a poacher in Hady. I can see once Hish is fit him and Hady having a run together. Chelmsford is going to be very tough. Need to remove the lack of concentration defensively. We were good besides the goal. JT has got to be disappointed with that at his near post. Signs that new ideas are being implemented. Just need to keep hold of the bulk of the team which will be very difficult as so many are loans. Thought Clark and Matthew- Lewis looked good today.
