First time I've seen us play since the Christmas period, which despite two wins and a draw, we didn't look great and the Havant NYD game was about what we deserved.
We looked a lot better tonight then we did back then. In particular, we played it to feet much more, which I'm sure helped Pendlebury grab his MOTM award.
Overall, a very enjoyable 0-0

What an awful side Torquay are. Eleven men in the box from get go, and no real intention of surrendering the point they had when they got here. Thought we battled hard, but just couldn't get the break in front of a packed defence. Glad to see Pruti back and he and CJ were immense at the back, when the Gulls DID try to come forward!! Like the look of Hollis at RB too, looking very solid.
I leave the Referee report to Spencer!! You had to see it to believe it!! Enough said!
We deserved more, but we take the point and move on to Hampton. Now that will be a real test!!
COME ON YOOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

Posting on behalf of the goalkeepers union, Hats-Off to both Jack and Mark for each of their goal line saves. Mark got down incredibly well to gather a shot from Aaron that he must have only seen a second before he got to it and Jack reacted equally well to stop a close range goal-bound effort with his left knee. Two clean sheets well earned tonight.

Two mid-table teams struggling for form. Torquay were set up to keep it tight and nick a goal on the break while we lacked the guile to open them up.
So, plenty of huff and puff and little quality from either side. If ever a game deserved to finish goal-less it was this one. On we go.

I thought we looked solid tonight and could have nicked it. Apparently they put out their best side so far this season with their best players back from injury.Really?
Frimley Park A+E is full at the moment with an outbreak of suspected vertigo believed to have originated in the West country.
This from their twitter feed."A battling point" Hope you can see the replies from their own fans

2 points lost - we more than matched a very negative Torquay side who had come with one purpose: Don't lose.
From the start they had 11 players behind the ball and the first half was mostly us trying to break down a 10 man defence with little joy. Second half they got more adventurous, with full-time fitness showing over part time as the time marched on and we just failed to do anything incisive.
Ref was diabolical - missed foul after foul and a solid penalty... Even the massed ranks of Torquay media guys and other reporters saw it and could not believe it was not given... Needless to say they were delighted with their point. When asked before the game what the formation would be, they said 6-3-1... and were not joking!

Although I think a draw was the fair result, was not impressed by the Torquay players falling over feigning head injuries what seemed every couple of minutes. I really can't see them making the play offs this season.
