But isn't it the case that every club holds the registration of a player until they sign for another one, this is something entirely separate from a contract... If another club is interested in signing him then they will approach FFC for his registration, which would be handed over once the FA rules are met: AJ was under contract to the club whilst at a certain age, so another club under the current rules has to pay the compensation as stated by the FA for a player at his level.
The other question to be asked is why haven't any clubs come in for him?.. If they have, chances are they DON'T want to pony-up the required cash so have been leaning on him and his agent to try and persuade FFC to forego the compensation they are entitled to. If you were in charge of the club that is run on an incredibly tight budget, would you ignore the compensation to which you are entitled, even if it is negligible?
Football is a nasty business!

Just to clarify the situation. AJ. is free to join any club that he want's to.
As he is under 24 years of age and previously contracted. Farnborough fc. are entitled to compensation, for his development etc. during his time spent with us. If a figure cannot be agreed between the 2 clubs involved. Then the Fa. will decide the fee at tribunal.
We have been through this process twice recently with Adam Brice and Josh Huggins without any drama's.
