At least put out a strong side in every competition - unless it's the Hampshire Senior Cup, in which case... well, who cares?
To use the word 'throw' the tie was wrong, I meant provide a weaker team.
But that's exactly what every Club that is in the top half of a League does. We do it in HSC, Portsmouth/Saints/Bournemouth, send the kids to us, NL clubs do it in FAT, Premier Clubs do it in FA Cup.
Not nice, but necessary, and an unfortunate fact of life these days, but it does de-value competitions!
Until the powers at be start to regulate that there must be a minimum number of first team squad players at each cup tie, i.e. 7/8, then it will continue.
Don't hold your breath.

And Folivi scores the second goal for Hemel!!! What a shocker!!! Hall, Folivi, Paveys turn next… Yeah there's a theme here isn't there. Almost as if we aren't playing to the strength of a centre forward. Bit worrying really. Not sure what the problem is. He seems to like attacking midfielders/wingers but they don't provide really, they score or bring in other attackers or midfielders, we just don't seem to utilise a striker. Alfie scored a lot from corners and freekick or rebounds. It's as if, and this is borne out by when CJ is used to hold the ball up and when we lump it up top. Hopefully Bakes can bring something new.

The massive issue is the midfield hasn't been delivering anywhere near enough presentable opportunities to the strikers, nor has the defence been adequately protected. The priority is to stop conceding and to build from there, as we're way too easy to beat at the moment. That has to change if we're to have a successful season - something that is well within our grasp as we're five points off the play-offs with 19 games to go. Look up, not down.
